A presentation of the tour operator Coral Travel and the Tourism Administration of Thailand, dedicated to the novelties of the season in Thailand, took place in Moscow. The business dinner was organized for the best retail partners of CoralTravel at the popular Moscow restaurant Mandarin. Noodles and Ducks ". Travel agents were introduced to Thailand's new marketing campaign for the 2019/2020 season.
Thailand is the most popular foreign destination on the Russian market during the winter season. At the same time, before, as told in the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), about 70% of tourists who came to Thailand once, come back here again. In the new season, Thailand wants to open up for them from a new side.
TAT Marketing Campaign 2019/2020 will be held under the slogan Open to the new shades. Tourists and representatives of the tourist business will be shown that rest in Thailand is not only Phuket and Pattaya. The country is actively developing urban and rural tourism, there are opportunities for health and sports tourism. And, of course, there are many opportunities to visit new areas and islands of Thailand, including protected areas.
In response to modern demand, in the new season the tour operator Coral Travel is actively promoting the relatively non-mass regions for the Russian market Hua Hin and Khao Lak (the latter is for family holidays in Thailand with the Sun Family Club concept at the Sentido Graceland 5 hotel *) ...
This year the tour operator made group transfers from Bangkok and Pattaya airports to Hua Hin hotels (previously there were only individual transfers). Coral Travel offers new combo tours for Hua Hin. Rest in this region can be combined with a visit to Bangkok or Pattaya.
“Interest in new islands, new excursions in Thailand among Russians is constantly growing. There are endless tourism opportunities in Thailand. In particular, the ferry service between the islands is well thought out, the infrastructure is actively developing. There is a huge number of amazing places in the country that you should definitely see with your own eyes, ”Coral Travel told Vestnik ATOR.
TAT also spoke about other possible options for new routes in Thailand. First, experts recommend including Bangkok in the country visit program.
Here tourists will find excellent shopping (new shopping centers have opened), gastronomy (about 200 restaurants in Thailand are recommended by the Michelin Red Guide, most of them are located in Bangkok), beautiful views (be sure to visit one of the many view bars or restaurants), palaces and temples. The route from the capital may look like this: Bangkok - Kanchanaburi - Ayutthaya.
There are routes for lovers of inexpensive rest in Pattaya. A visit to this resort can be combined with Bangkok, Koh Samet or Koh Chang. The full route will look like this: Pattaya - Rayong (Samet Island + hotels in the mainland of Rayong) - Chanthaburi (sightseeing trips) - Trat (Chang Island). A high-speed train will soon help to move quickly along the route (its route: Bangkok - Cha Cheong Sao - Chonburi - Sriracha - Pattaya - Utapao Airport - Rayong). The project will be launched in the coming years.
Always overshadowed by its more famous neighbor Hua Hin, the Cha-am beach resort, 41 kilometers south of Phetchaburi, plays host to those who do not fit on Hua Hin and performs in the role of a more isolated alternative. It used to be a standard Thai resort focused mainly on families and student groups from Bangkok with an emphasis on coastal picnics rather than swimming and sunbathing.
But it started to change at a time when immigrants and Europeans began to come here, with their package tours and high-rise buildings and Western-style restaurants. The most developed site on Cha-Am stretches for about 3 kilometers along Thanon Ruamchit (sometimes spelled Ruamjit) from Golden Beach Cha-am Hotel in the north to Santisuk Bungalows in the south. Here the beach is pleasantly shady, albeit sandy and very narrow at high tide, and the water is ideal for swimming, although not very clean.
On weekdays, life on Cha-Am flows slowly and steadily, and there is an easily hidden place under the casuarines, in particular at the northern end of the beach, but this is rarely possible on weekends when prices skyrocket, and the roads are clogged with cars. Away from the seaside part of the city, there is not much to do, but there are several golf courses within reach, and buses run between Cha-Am and Huahin (25 kilometers south) every half hour, the journey takes 35 minutes.
Almost all regular buses and air-conditioned buses arrive at the bus station in the city center on Thanon Phetkasem Street (Highway 4). Close to Thanon Narathip Road junction 1 kilometer west of the beach. The railway station is located a few buildings from this intersection.
Thanon Narathip Street is the most convenient of the side roads connecting Thanon Phetkasem Street to the beach and ends at a small promenade near the tourist police station on Thanon Ruamchit Street, about halfway to the 3 km long beach strip. To get to the beach from Thanon Phetkasem Street, walk or take a motorcycle taxi for 30 baht. Several air-conditioned private buses to and from Bangkok use the station in a small square on Thanon Ruamchit Beach Street, south of the Ruamchit/Narathip intersection.
It is on Thanon Ruamchit Street that you will find most of the hotels and restaurants, as well as tourist organizations. The address of the houses here depends on whether they are located from the south or from the north from the intersection with Thanon Narathip, and the soi side streets leading from the beach are named accordingly, for example Soi Cha-am North 1 is the first path leaving Ruamchit street from the north of the intersection , a Soi Cha-am South 1 is the first road south. The conspicuous Golden Beach Cha-am Hotel at the northern end of the beach sits on Soi Cha-am North 8, while the Santisuk bungalow complex near the southern end of the beach sits at Soi Cha-am South 4.
The small post office on Thanon Ruamchit Street is located just north of Soi Cha-am North 5 and has one Catnet Internet terminal. More Catnet terminals can be found at the telephone office, which is located on Thanon Narathip Street, 200 meters north of the beach. Many establishments around the beach offer motorcycle rentals, as well as tandems and triple bikes.
The main business district of Cha-Am occupies a network of streets west of Thanon Phetkasem Street between the bus stop and the train station. It is here that you will find the market, most shops, the police station, the main post office and banks with currency exchange and ATMs. The local TAT office (daily 08:00 to 16:00) is located on Highway 4 about 1 kilometer south of the city center.
