As a tourist destination, Greece is unique. It is interesting for lovers of history, connoisseurs of classical Hellenic architecture, beach lovers, gourmets and pilgrims. Greece is the "beginning of the beginnings" of poetry, theater, philosophy, exact sciences, sports. And the heavenly waters of the Aegean Sea, the pearl deposits of the islands and the endless cypress-olive horizons are a generous gift from the mighty Olympic gods.
Swimming and sunbathing - from May to the end of September, in Crete and Rhodes you can even in October. At the beginning of summer, there are still not as many tourists as in July-August. These months in Greece are very hot: during the day the sun beats down mercilessly, and thermometers often reach extreme values. It's already easier in September, so it's time to come with small children without the risk of overheating them on the beach. Going on excursions through the hell is not entirely comfortable - it is better to plan long walks to the sights in the middle of spring or autumn. The ski slopes open in December and end in late March.

Kos and Corfu are a mix of pebble and sandy beaches. These regions will appeal to serenity-seeking travelers. It is also comfortable with children there, besides, prices for 4-5 * hotels in Kos are lower than in the more popular Crete.
"Postcard" Santorini with recognizable blue and white houses will delight you with beautiful sunsets and a well-groomed coastline with volcanic sand. But from the entertainment there are only walks on a yacht and on foot, as well as contemplation of the harmonious symbiosis of nature and architecture. In a word, not at all for party-goers. The Peloponnese is good for those who crave a rich "excursion" in addition to a beach holiday, which, by the way, is beyond praise here. The vibrant nightlife of Mykonos and Paros will appeal to tourists who love parties from dusk to dawn and bohemian atmosphere.
