To begin with, let's wonder what tourism is? What are its forms? The answers are simple. Tourism is the travel of people from one place to another. More specifically, from one country to another (international); from region to region, from state to state within its own country (domestic). But travel goals are different. For example, for recreation, treatment, broadening one's horizons, and this is called recreational tourism. At the same time, there is also business tourism - business trips to seminars to exchange professional experience, trainings, symposia, scientific and practical conferences, and so on and so on in order.
Religious tourism with visits to holy places has become popular, as well as agritourism, whose participants not only visit large agricultural industries, but also get acquainted with the range of products, evaluate what is called its taste and quality. At the same time, it is not forbidden to buy something you like. And there is also event tourism (recently the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad was celebrated, and thousands and thousands of guests came to Volgograd not only from Russia itself, but also from near and far abroad). And travel on the seas, rivers or lakes ?! In recent years, they have also become quite attractive. And it should be noted that the mentioned areas of tourism are widely represented in the Krasnodar Territory.
They are mainly related to recreational tourism. Compatriots and foreign guests come to the Kuban for rest and treatment. At the same time, even in their native land, they choose ahead of time in which resort area they spend their holidays or vacations. Let's call these zones - Big Sochi, Gelendzhik, Tuapse, Anapa and the new All-Russian health resort - Taman, which appeared relatively recently, in 2010, which gained its popularity largely due to the unique deposits of medicinal mud and where there are more than three dozen mud volcanoes. Applications, baths help to treat skin diseases, ailments of the musculoskeletal system, rheumatism, sciatica, and other ailments. At the same time, the peninsula willingly shares them with its neighbors - medicinal mud is supplied to almost all health resorts of the region. And there are more than two hundred of them only in Anapa and its resort villages - sanatoriums, boarding houses, children's health camps and other medical institutions.
From year to year, the flow of tourists wishing to rest and receive medical treatment in the Kuban is growing. In 2017, for example, they arrived and flew south to the warm Black and Azov Seas - as much as 15.8 million. And the so-called "wild tourists" ?! They settle in tent camps or with families on the shores of the Black and Azov Seas, near waterfalls and mountain lakes of unique natural beauty, climb to the snow-capped peaks of Krasnaya Polyana, the country's main ski resort, which actively receives tourists in summer. One tenth of them, mind you, are foreigners. The treatment, of course, goes without saying. The same All-Russian health resort for family and children's recreation Anapa can simultaneously accept more than one hundred thousand patients in sanatoriums and boarding houses. And children's health camps are over thirty thousand. Its tourist flow approaches four million or even higher a year. And Turkey or the resort areas of the Caribbean cannot keep up with such an impressive figure. But tourists in the Krasnodar Territory are not only treated. For the same patients of health resorts, excursions to places of interest, boat trips, including sailing to the shores of the Crimea, are organized. Tourists are taken care of in the region. Double-decker buses have appeared in Sochi. They are delivered to Krasnaya Polyana and in other directions, for example, in Tuapse, by swift, comfortably Lastochka electric trains. As for the sights, there are a great many of them in the Kuban - the Olympic Park in Sochi, the Safari Park in Gelendzhik, the Gorgippia open-air museum and the open-sea dolphinarium in Anapa, the same mud volcanoes on Taman, including a unique seas and forming temporary islands, and here on the peninsula the famous "Ataman" - a Cossack village-museum and fantastic in its natural beauty Lotus Valley (Akhtanizovsky estuary next to the village of Golubitskaya). Naturally, by participating in excursions, tourists learn a lot, expand their horizons, shoot memorable places with a camera, video cameras, in order to then share the beauty they saw with family and friends in their native land. This is recreational tourism. As for the business, one of them was manifested in the Russian Investment Forum, held in Sochi on February 15-16, 2018, which brought together a record number of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, representatives of foreign countries, and in which Kuban organized one of the largest exhibitions. The investment portfolio of the region has 440 proposals for 187 billion rubles. In total, almost 8.5 trillion rubles will have to be invested in the development of the country's regions following the results of the forum - an impressive amount, by the way!
The 25th Anniversary International Tourism Exhibition "Anapa - the brightest sun of Russia" was successfully held at the Vityaz Sports Complex. Two hundred large tour operators sent their representatives. More than six dozen health resorts not only of the famous resort for family and children's recreation and treatment, but also other resort institutions of the Krasnodar Territory - Goryachiy Klyuch, Temryuk, Arkhipo-Osipovka, Gelendzhik, etc., announced innovations in the health improvement and rehabilitation of tourists. It is important to note that Anapa entered in the first three Kuban resorts in terms of tourist flow and budget receipts. She was honored to host training facilities for the teams participating in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Naturally, this will attract the attention of additional thousands and thousands of tourists: who is not interested in watching the training sessions of the famous leading football teams of the planet!
And it really is! If you cite the same 2017 as an example, then, according to statistics, 56 and a half million people traveled across Russia. 15, 8 of them are in the Krasnodar Territory - it was here that during this period came from different parts of the Fatherland (excluding "wild tourists"). and the Moscow region fell to 14.1 million and 5.4 to the Crimea. And then it goes in decreasing order: Vladimir region - 4 million, Yaroslavl - 3.6, Tatarstan - 3.1, Kaluga - 2.5, Karachay-Cherkessia - 1.2 million, which is a fifth more than in the previous year.
There are many places of interest in our country. In 2008, the Izvestia newspaper, the Rossiya TV channel and the Mayak radio station conducted the Seven Wonders of the World of Russia competition via SMS and the Internet. Tourists preferred such our attractions: the Valley of Geysers in Kamchatka, Lake Baikal, Peterhof, the Weathering Pillars of Komi, St. Basil's Cathedral, Mamayev Kurgan (Motherland) and one of the highest peaks in the world, Elbrus. You can talk a lot and in detail about each of these wonders of Russia. For example, Lake Baikal is located in the very center of Asia on the border of the Irkutsk region and Buryatia. From south-west to north-east it stretches for 620 kilometers. The width of the reservoir is from 29 to 79 kilometers. The depth is 1167 meters below sea level, 456-457 meters above sea level. The colossal area is 31,722 square kilometers. The size of Belgium or the Netherlands. The coastline is over two thousand kilometers. Baikal ranks seventh among all the lakes of the planet. It is of tectonic origin. And with a maximum depth of 1642 meters, which was specified in 1983.
Valley of Geysers in Kamchatka. Its area is six square kilometers. The only one in all of Eurasia. As part of the Kronotsky State Biosphere Reserve. Since 1992, even helicopter excursions have been organized there. In the valley there are two dozen large geysers and several hundred outlets to the surface of thermal waters flowing into the riverbed and Lake Geysernoe in the canyon at a depth of 400-500 meters. The water temperature goes off scale at 95 degrees. It must be said that in 2007, due to heavy rains, a landslide occurred in the valley and destroyed a natural dam. Some scientists predicted the death of geysers, which really disappeared under the rubble one after another. And soon most of them simply disappeared. But in 2013 heavy rains again happened. They cleared the rubble. And they brought salvation - the geysers began to clog again. As well as to Lake Baikal, thousands and thousands of tourists come to the Valley of Geysers every year. By the way, there are many from abroad. Both compatriots and foreign tourists love to travel along the Golden Ring of Russia. These are eight cities with ancient history, their own culture and originality - Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov the Great, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Suzdal, Vladimir.
Krasnodar Territory is the most popular summer destination. The history of the Kuban goes back many millennia, its fertile conditions have attracted people for a long time.
Krasnodar Territory is associated with the sun, sea and mountains. This is the southernmost region of the Russian Federation, located on the Kuban lowland. Another name for the Krasnodar Territory is the health resort of Russia. An endless stream of tourists flows here throughout the year.
September 13, 1937 is considered the official date of the founding of the Krasnodar Territory. It included the lands of the Black Sea province and the Kuban region. The city of Krasnodar is its administrative center. In the east it borders on Stavropol, on the south side - with Abkhazia, in the northeast - with the Rostov region. Fertile lands have attracted nomads for a long time. Scythians, Khazars, Sarmatians, ancient Greeks and Genoese lived here, who built cities and developed trade routes. In 1792, the first Cossacks landed on the Kuban territories under the leadership of Savva Bely. Their task was to protect the border areas. Over time, representatives of the Cossacks established themselves in the Krasnodar Territory and began to build up it, cultivate the land and engage in cattle breeding.
More than 120 nationalities and nations live in the Kuban. Today the population of the region is 5,500 thousand people (2016). Most of them are Russians (88% of the total population), Kuban Cossacks. They are followed by Armenians and Ukrainians. Despite the multinationality, conflicts between representatives of different peoples are extremely rare, relations are stable and friendly.
The climate of the Krasnodar Territory is diverse. The entire region is divided into climatic zones: temperate continental in the plains, from Tuapse to Anapa - Mediterranean, south of Tuapse - subtropical. Winter in the Krasnodar Territory has little snow. Green grass can be seen in December and January. Precipitation is rare, but very large. The average air temperature in winter is 5 degrees in mountainous and lowland areas, along the coast of the sea +5 degrees. The coldest month is February. With the arrival of spring, the air temperature rises significantly. At this time, there are often mudslides from the mountains and a large hailstorm is a common occurrence for the Kuban. The swimming season opens in May. The hot sun begins to warm up the Black Sea waters and the resort towns begin to fill with tourists who want to relax in good conditions on the shores of two seas. Summer in the Krasnodar Territory pleases with heat - the thermometer sometimes rises to 40 degrees, but thanks to the cool breeze, it is tolerated quite easily. In September, the air temperature drops at least 23 degrees. During the velvet season, the number of tourists decreases, but only slightly. During this period, the sea is still warm, and the sun does not bake much. This weather lasts until mid-October, and then smoothly flows into winter.
Krasnodar Territory is famous for the beauty of its nature. The forested mountains are mesmerizing, the blue sea shimmers in the sun. There are 30 extinct and active volcanoes in the region. There are 2 seas in the Krasnodar Territory - Black and Azov. The first is considered the warmest sea in the country, and the second is the shallowest in the world. Plains occupy two thirds of the Kuban. The Azov-Kuban Lowland is a real local attraction. It is completely flat and changes color at different times of the year.
Mineral deposits are located in the foothill and mountainous regions of the Kuban. Here, the largest marls used to make cement are oil, natural gas, sandstone and limestone, marble and quartz sand. The Azov-Kuban freshwater basin rightfully deserves the title of the largest in all of Europe. There is a significant supply of mineral and thermal waters, which are widely used in sanatorium and medical institutions. A large area is occupied by forests - oak, beech, alder. These are valuable tree species that are an economic and recreational resource of the region. Chernozems of the Krasnodar Territory are the property of state importance. Thanks to its fertile soils and climatic conditions, the region is considered the breadbasket of Russia. More than 100 agricultural crops are grown here, which are distributed in the warehouses of the Russian Federation and exported to various countries of the world. The Krasnodar Territory is famous for its vineyards. Half of the all-Russian annual harvest of grapes of different varieties is harvested here. Viticulture is of great economic importance, wine export is one of the significant parts of the local budget.
Krasnodar Territory is not without reason called one of the most dynamically developing regions of the country. It provides food security, has a powerful transport infrastructure, and has rich natural resources. In addition, it has a favorable climate, has the most developed network of sanatoriums, boarding houses with treatment and balneological hospitals in Russia, for which it received the title of “All-Russian health resort”.
Krasnodar Territory offers an extensive entertainment and educational program: excursion and tourist routes, yachting, diving, wind and kitesurfing, horseback riding, rafting and much more. There are 3 rivers in the Krasnodar Territory where rafting is organized: Mzymta, Malaya Laba and Pshekha. In the spring, thousands of water sportsmen gather in these river beds to participate in rafting and water tourism competitions.
The mountain resorts of Krasnaya Polyana, as well as the areas of the Lagonaki Upland, from December to March accept fans of active winter types of recreation: snowboarding, alpine skiing, snowshoeing. The infrastructure of Sochi resorts meets the highest standards. On New Year's holidays, all hotels are 100% occupied here.
For beach and sea tourism in the region, you should go to Sochi, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk, Yeisk, Tuapse and Temryuk districts. In terms of the sum of kilometers in length, the beaches of the Azov-Black Sea coast are equal to 100 km. It can accommodate more than half a million tourists at a time.
In order to improve the quality of services provided at the resorts of the region, there is a mandatory classification of hotels in the region. Today, over 6300 accommodation facilities (almost 99%) have passed the classification procedure in the region. Kuban is the undisputed leader in Russia in terms of this indicator. The leaders in the classification of accommodation facilities are Anapa, Gelendzhik, Sochi, Novorossiysk, Krasnodar and Tuapse region.
The resorts have an all-inclusive system. The largest number of such facilities is located in Anapa (21 hotels/hotels) and Sochi (10 hotels and hotels), as well as in Gelendzhik and Tuapse region.
There is also a voluntary classification of beaches in the region. The largest number of beaches is classified in Anapa, Sochi and Gelendzhik, Tuapse region. The territories of Temryuk and Yeisk districts also took part in this procedure.
This year, beaches on the coast of the Territory began to create a unified look with the use of the Krasnodar Region Resorts brand and local brands of resort cities. There are already 27 successful practices. This is an example of how a modern comfortable beach with high quality services should look like. Next year it is planned that the entire sea coast will be decorated in a single style.
A number of investment projects are being implemented in the region. For example, projects for the improvement of the beach areas of the hotels "Deauville" and "Riviera" in Anapa, as well as a project to create a tourist and recreational cluster "Abrau-Utrish", which is located in the territories of Anapa and Novorossiysk. Lotus flowers of the gods
One of the most beautiful excursions in the Krasnodar Territory. To see all the splendor of the endless lotus fields, it is better to go on a trip from July to August. This is the time of mass flowering of lotuses.
The excursion begins on the bank of the Cossack Erik River in Temryuk. It is located about 150 km from Krasnodar. The river valley has such dense vegetation and diverse fauna that its territory was named "Kuban jungle". Then you will have to hit the road on boats, otherwise it is impossible to get to the lotus fields.
Tours begin in the morning, when the pink flowers illuminated by the rising sun look fabulous. It is believed that desires come true here: if you whisper them into a lotus bud, all your plans will certainly come true!
As a rule, excursions to the lotus fields include wine tasting of the Taman Peninsula and a beach holiday on the shores of the Azov Sea in the village of Golubitskaya.
Walk through the ruins of an ancient castle, look at pagan idols, look into the "damned" church, cleanse yourself of sins by climbing, stand on the "navel of the Earth" and explore the geology by touch - whoever thinks that there is nothing to do in the Perm Territory is simply ill-informed.
