Excursion to the Narzan Valley

Today we are going to hike to the valley of the Narzan River, where we have to get a boost of energy and health for all the next days. The valley is located in the most picturesque places at the foothills of the Rocky Range. It is surrounded on all sides by high hills and rocks.

After lunch, horseback riding and fishing trips, visits to the observatory can be organized for everyone for a fee.

Excursion to the mountain plateau Bermamyt.

Krasnodar Territory is just a godsend for those who love active rest against the backdrop of beautiful landscapes. Here the generous nature has brought together picturesque mountains, mysterious caves, turbulent rivers and waterfalls, shady forests, mountain lakes and gentle sea.

Natural beauty, legendary sights and mild climate have made this corner of our country a wonderful trekking destination almost all year round. Therefore, those who decide where to go on a hike should opt for the routes passing through the hospitable lands of the Krasnodar Territory. In addition, the region has a developed infrastructure for outdoor activities and trips are often organized here, including jeeping, river rafting or rock climbing.

An interesting direction of trekking has become "trekking to places of power", combined with the practice of yoga, meditation and qi-gong breathing exercises, which are becoming very popular.

For seekers of spiritual enlightenment in the Krasnodar Territory, pilgrimage trips are conducted. Such travels give people the opportunity to visit holy places, monasteries and temples. Suitable accommodation, meals and excursions are organized for the pilgrims.

Some routes are also suitable for the whole family with a child. But it is worth remembering that such trips require preparation and skillful organization to make the little traveler feel as comfortable as possible.

Favorite route through the Lago-Naki plateau

One of the most popular routes, the "age" of which has been called "Through the mountains to the sea" for about two decades. During the Soviet Union and the trekking craze, this track was number 30 and was very popular for its picturesque surroundings and the opportunity to see natural wonders from glaciers and inaccessible cliffs to waterfalls and the seaside in just one week.

The journey from Adygea to the seaside village of Dagomys passes through alpine meadows, caves, gorges. The route scheme includes the Guzeripl pass, the foot of the Fisht-Oshtenovsky mountain range, then the Fisht shelter (there are houses, tents, places for tents) and the Belorechensky pass.

Having rounded the Fisht peak, travelers should descend to the location of the Babuk Aul shelter, then cross the Shahe river valley to reach Solohaul.

The end of the journey is on the Black Sea coast in the village in Dagomys. The length of the track is 65 kilometers, the duration of the journey is 6 days.

Difficulties: craters and hidden caves on the Lago-Naki plateau. Therefore, it is worth sticking to the trail.

How to get to the start of the track

The airports closest to the beginning of the route (the village of Guzeripl) are in Krasnodar (ticket from 2000 rubles from Moscow) and Rostov-on-Don (from 2300 rubles). From these cities you will have to get to the village by taxi or buses.

Hello everyone! While new travels are just being prepared, I decided to remember the past and write about a hike across the Caucasus through the mountains to the sea. And it was in the distant, distant 2008, when the creative association ProYOU went to relatives in Adygea with the idea of making a small trip with access to the sea.

After a short stay with relatives (to whom we will return more than once ;-)), a trip to Maykop, and hiking in the surrounding waterfalls, we found a local guide, Slava. For a small fee, he agreed to lead us through the mountains. And even organized a minibus directly to the house! We could probably have gone on our own, but the new location and the presence of the reserve, as well as the prospect of resolving issues with the environmental authorities ourselves, prompted us to take a guide.

Route through the mountains to the sea

The legendary all-Union tourist route No. 30 or simply "thirty" starts from the checkpoint of the Caucasian Biosphere Reserve, passes along the Lago-Naki plateau, through the passes of the Caucasian ridge, and ends in Dagomys, already on the Black Sea coast.

What is so interesting about the “thirty” route? It covers several climatic zones at once - alpine meadows, mountain peaks with eternal snow, fir forests and coastal subtropics. There is also a reserve here, and this helped to preserve the unique nature, rare and unique animals, birds, plants. It is quite possible to meet bears here (in rare cases, of course) - we saw small and large tracks.

The route runs near the Oshten and Fisht mountains, from which many rivers of the region originate. You are guaranteed stunning landscapes of the Caucasus Mountains, turbulent mountain rivers, the smell of herbs, a mountain bathhouse and much more!

The route through the mountains to the sea looks like this: checkpoint of the reserve - Instructor's gap - Armenian pass - Fisht shelter - Belorechensky pass - Cherkessky pass - Babuk-Aul shelter - Solokh-Aul shelter.

Going to the Fisht shelter

The minibus took us to the checkpoint, from where we went on foot along the Lago-Naki plateau. The vastness is incredible! The trail goes through alpine meadows, now and then bumping into streams and lakes, somewhere in the distance you can see a herd of horses.

From the Lago-Naki plateau, the trail passes to the slope of the Oshten mountain massif, the views become more and more "vertical"))

Northern Elbrus region (aul Khurzuk - Verkhniy Baksan)

Line of the route: G. Nevinnomyssk - aul Khurzuk - lane. Enukol (2579m) - lane. Bykyly (2963m) - lane. Chemart (3132m) - lane. Buruntash (3086m) - pt. Irakhitsyrt - r. Malka - Kalinov bridge - vdp. Sultan - vdp. Tuzluk-Shapa (Kara-Kagan-Su) - trans. northern Karakay (2889m) - p. Islamchat - lane. Kyrtyk-aush (3232m) - r. Kyrtyk - V. Baksan - Pyatigorsk.

And at the halt there are bonfires And gray gray clouds. The soul asks to return there, Where mountain winds breathe. There, where in the morning on the river I wash myself with white foam And camp tea invariably Boils in a bent pot. Where the blue bell lays marks Along the paths And the pines cross branches In the green vault overhead. There is a night on a black sheet He embroiders patterns from the stars. And the glacial dream does not melt Cheek on the stone wall. I will stare at the waterfalls, How about driftwood scratching their braids, Falling into silver dew, I will drown in hops of freedom. In the distance, a humpback pass Shakes the sun at sunset And it seems out of place for me, That I have not gone anywhere!

The Elbrus route was developed by Soviet tourist instructors. It was laid from Karachay-Cherkessia, from the western ridges of the Elbrus to the eastern ones, to Kabardino-Balkaria. Designed for experienced tourists who have already been on several hikes, for example, in the "Valley to the Giant", strong and strong in spirit. A hike of increased difficulty, crossing several high mountain ranges and passes. The highest are over 3200m. On the way, we will need endurance and endurance, since we will go almost the entire trip at altitudes from 2000m to 3000m. At these heights, there is no forest, no firewood, so we carry gas and gasoline all 9 days along with food. Steep slopes, protracted high ascents, wading mountain rivers, prickly narzans, joy after taking the pass, a radial to the Elbrus glaciers, beautiful views and deep valleys, vast plateaus and high waterfalls - this is how many wonderful things await us on this trip. And all the way we will be accompanied with its stern gaze by the mighty two-headed Elbrus - the peak of the Caucasus and the highest mountain in Europe!

Route description:

Gathering at 9:00 at the Nevinnomyssk railway. We check the equipment, availability, condition, load onto the bus and go to the mountains. On the way, as always, we will definitely stop by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the KChR to register the group. The path is not close, about 4.5 hours. The road winds along the river. uban, the mountains are getting higher, and the gorge is getting deeper. Closer to lunchtime, we will most likely stop by a roadside cafe and taste wonderful Caucasian cuisine: Ossetian pies or khychins. We'll have some rest and air at the same time. After lunch we are on our way again ... And now we are in the mountain village of Khurzuk, where we arrive in different ways: it happens at 14:00, it happens a little earlier, but more often later (it depends on the time of arrival and arrival of all participants in the hike). Here we unload, distribute public cargo, adjust the suspension of our backpacks and go! On the way, we stop for instructions. The path today is not long, no more than 3.5 km, which is good, because we will still need strength. We climb to the Khedallare glade and set up a camp at an altitude of 1620 m. There is a fireplace, firewood, flat areas, beautiful rocky mountains (Kepurtli-bashi 3396m). It happens that we manage to arrive a little earlier and then we go up the Enukol stream and go to the edge of the forest zone. Here the altitude is already more than 2000, but this will not prevent us from setting up a camp and seeing the beauty.

Today, the Yenukol Pass (2579m) awaits us. But first, coffee, warm-up, breakfast, collection. In the morning, the instructor is snapped up: how to fold the tent, pack the backpack, what should be in the backpack, how to adjust the straps, how to go, where to go, even how to breathe - we will solve all these issues in the morning and on the way to the pass! First pass, ascent. How heavy the backpacks seem! In about three hours we will reach the natural menhir, where we will have lunch and again up to the pass. In another hour and a half we will reach the goal. And here He is, Elbrus! From that moment until almost until the end of the hike, he will strictly observe what kind of tourists are walking here! At the pass we will arrange a big halt and a photo session. It is very beautiful in here! On both sides of the pass there are deep valleys of the Ullu-Khurzuk and Elmez-Tebe rivers, opposite the summits, wrapped in clouds. From the pass to the place of our camp no more than half an hour. We set up a camp, go to the radial link to the nearest peak 2763 m. Cooking dinner, relaxing. the most not lazy in the morning can climb the ridge and admire the unique sunrise, which is unique every day!

Morning, coffee, warm-up, breakfast, "Under a backpack!" - it's time to stretch the muscles that were a little knocked down after unusual loads. We walk along the Yenukol ridge straight to Elbrus along the ancient path Syurt-Jol (Milky Way). There is a legend that one of the branches of the Great Silk Road ran along this path. Today two more passes await us: Bykyly (2963m) and Chemart (3132m). The transition is long, but not difficult. There will be no large differences in elevation. The ascent to the pass will take no more than an hour, and in another hour we will take the second pass. Well, another half an hour and we are in the parking lot ... The day as a whole is specific and beautiful. Almost all the time we will walk towards Elbrus and with every step approaching we will feel its greatness. We organize parking in the lowland, where there is less wind and there is water. Tent. Dinner. Sleeping bag. Deep sleep.

Early morning, fabulously beautiful sunrise, warm-up, porridge, tea, tent, backpack ... And again on the road. Perhaps today will be more difficult than the previous one. Several ascents and descents and a long ascent to the Buruntash pass (3086m). And after the pass, we also need to force the river. The Kyzyl-Kol River is icy even in the middle of summer, because it starts its way right from the Ullu-Chiran glacier. And the warmer the sun, the dimmer and stronger the seething stream of the river. The crossing will be with a rope.At the same time, all participants will gain invaluable experience of crossing with a rope and in an icy raging stream. For safety, we recommend that you change into hiking sandals or something similar while crossing the river, as the stones in the river are both slippery and sharp. Immediately after the crossing, we will set up a camp - there is a convenient flat area nearby. Elbrus seems to be a stone's throw away and tomorrow we will definitely go to it. Another pleasant thing: just 200 meters from the parking lot, there is a narzan with “deliciously smelling” carbonated water. Helpful and cool! In the meantime, we are engaged in camp and dinner. At the same time we play, sing, tell, take pictures, and generally have a rest.

After a long and difficult transition, we rest the whole day, wash, dry ourselves, walk in a radial to the glacier. Valley of the r. Yzyl-Kol is a huge ditch several hundred meters wide, dug by the ice of a glacier. Now the glacier is melting higher and we will be able to walk right along the bed of the glacier to its edge, admire the grandeur and beauty of Elbrus. In general, the walk to the glacier is not long, but it will take a lot of time, because everyone will want to sit, admire, touch and, breathing in the cool crystal air with all their chest, feel all the power, beauty and grandeur of the untouched nature of the Caucasus.
