Thank you KP for the New Year's adventure in the most beautiful place - in the Crimea! It's great that we managed to cover so many attractions in less than a week! Many thanks to instructor Anton Popov for very informative.
There are few places on Earth where nature would demonstrate its capabilities so generously. The small territory of Crimea contains coniferous forests with the purest air and gloomy beech forests, mountain waterfalls and rivulets quietly murmuring in dense grass, mountains and deep canyons, high-mountain plateaus with alpine meadows and mysterious underground caves, a magnificent sea, not chained in embankments granite, wild beaches with pristine nature. Therefore, only those who go on a tourist trip to Crimea can say “I saw the real Crimea”.
The unique climate of Crimea allows you to enjoy travel all year round, because the sun almost always shines here, rains are infrequent and short-lived, and even in winter the temperature rarely drops below zero. At any time of the year, an amazing sight will open before you: Crimea in March-April - full-flowing waterfalls, green yailas and primroses, summer - dense forests and cool lakes, in the fall the peninsula will delight you with forest gifts and ringing silence, and a ski trip in Crimea for the New Year will surprise you with a striking contrast between the snow-strewn mountain peaks and the evergreen coastline. And every time on your way there will be either places of power shrouded in legends, ruins of ancient fortresses and cave cities, or of rare beauty species.
It only remains to add that many routes have been developed in Crimea, both for hikes with an instructor, and for independent ones, you can go on a trip around Crimea on a hike for several days and one day, choose a route designed for experienced tourists or a family with kids.
Most often, people who come to Crimea on vacation stop in cities or small villages, preferring beaches and always available food. But that is why the peninsula is so amazing, that there are many options for outings, including one-day hikes in Crimea, and at any point:
Of course, these are not all routes of one-day hikes in Crimea, you can still visit the lower plateau of Chatyr-Dag with its caves, the Koshka and Roman-Kosh mountains, Demerdzhi and the Valley of Ghosts, there are many routes near Sevastopol.
If you are not confident in your abilities or want to hike in Crimea with children, use a specially designed route, during which no one will get too tired, but along the way will see a huge number of sights. The path will take 6 days, you will have to go 37 kilometers from the village. Perevalnoe to the village. Fishing. The route trail will take you through the beech forest on Mount Demerdzhi, across the Suat River past the deserted Karabi plateau to Lake Khun, where you can swim, and then to Rybachye, where, if you wish, you can stay on vacation, since it is located on the very shore seas.
Azure waves and evergreen coastal groves, white stones of heated rocks, colorful spring or gold autumn forests - this tour will allow you to see the colors of the Crimea in all their diversity and splendor. Overnight stays are in cottages at tourist centers, all travels are light. In this difficult but very picturesque hike, we will discover all the beauties of the Crimean nature in the off-season. Endless sea, high mountains, majestic canyons, cool mountain rivers await us. Due to the richness of the program and the change of climatic zones, a lot of impressions are guaranteed!

Actually, I often go hiking, but before that, they were all aquatic. What we liked: 1. Brilliant organization. This is, of course, the job of an instructor. What time he said, so much and.
We invite experienced travelers to hike along the main ridge of the Crimean mountains. We will climb the highest mountains of Crimea, including the highest point - the top of Mount Roman-Kosh (1545 km above sea level). This is a great chance to see the best panoramas of the peninsula from a bird's eye view and test yourself by testing your strength. We are waiting for clean mountain springs, picturesque waterfalls, and of course, unforgettable impressions from the conquest of sky-high peaks.
The track is designed for seven days, during which we will walk 110 km of an exciting path. The whole group meets at the Simferopol railway station, from where a comfortable bus will take us to Generalskoe village. There will begin a hiking route to Roman-Kosh - the final peak of our journey. We will visit the Crimean National Park and several reserves, see mountain lakes and waterfalls, overcome mountain passes and climb almost all the main peaks of Crimea, including the highest point - Mount Roman-Kosh (1545 m). At the very end of the tour, we will go down to the village of Zaprudnoye, from where the bus will take us to Yalta - the tourist center of the peninsula, where you can continue your rest.
This hike is more difficult than our other Crimean routes and requires excellent physical fitness from the participants, but all the energy expended is fully paid off by the incredible landscapes that will accompany us throughout the adventure.
In order to somewhat lighten the weight of the backpacks, the instructors will organize the transfer of part of the provisions for the second half of the route to the village in the middle of the path.
We meet at 9 am at the railway station in Simferopol and get on the bus. An hour and a half later we are in the Generalskoe village. This is where our way up begins.
We put on our backpacks and go. In just half an hour we will find ourselves at the deepest waterfall in Crimea - Dzhur-Dzhur. Light crystal streams shoot from a 15-meter rocky ledge, filling the air with myriads of spray, while mossy stones are piled up and branchy, curved trees spread around - a very peaceful landscape.
Having climbed a little upstream of the Ulu-Uzen river, we will make a halt near one of the stone fonts - we will have lunch and refresh ourselves in cool, crystal clear water.
After lunch, we will smoothly begin to climb through the picturesque mountain forest. Here, on the cliffs, there are many observation platforms with beautiful views of the southern coast of Crimea.
In the evening we will stop for a halt at the Dzhurla waterfall, at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level. The waterfall is small, but the places around are amazing - a quiet valley between two mountain slopes with lush bushes and stone ledges run in by water.
Today is our first overnight stay under the Crimean stars. In the meantime, let's sit by the fire, chat and get to know each other better.
The length of the trek on the first day is 15 km, the climb is about 700 m.
All objects to be visited according to the program are located at a relatively small distance from the accommodation base, which excludes long exhausting journeys and allows you to fully enjoy nature and walking.
Accommodation at a hospitable recreation center, the infrastructure of which includes a spacious area with a swimming pool and playgrounds, a bathhouse, two large halls for gatherings and meals, picturesque well-groomed flora, and, of course, polite and friendly staff.
We meet at 11:00 on the first day of the hike near the entrance to the Grecha cafeteria, across the street from the bus station (first floor of a three-story building, Vokzalnaya st., 10) and go to the Orlinoe recreation center, where we are accommodated in 3-4-bed rooms, have breakfast and get to know each other.
Today we have acclimatization, so on the first day we will do without significant physical exertion and long transitions.
Transport will take us from the valley to the village of Foros. The path goes along a very picturesque serpentine road, built in the 19th century to connect Sevastopol and Yalta. This road until the beginning of the 70s of the last century was the main link between these seaside towns. Now, thanks to its picturesqueness, it has become rather a tourist attraction. On the way to Foros, we will visit the Baydar Gate Pass (from where we will see the sea for the first time), as well as the famous Foros Church, located on a steep rocky cliff.
10 minutes drive after visiting the church, and you and I are in Foros Park, laid out a century and a half ago by the merchant Kuznetsov, the tea magnate of the Russian Empire during the Tsarist era. There is a huge number of relict and endemic plants, many of which are amazing in their shape and size. After a walk in the park, we will definitely go down to the beach, have a snack, and, weather permitting, swim in the gentle Black Sea.
Next, a twenty-minute return to the base awaits us past Cape Sarych (the southernmost point of Crimea) and other attractions of the western part of the southern coast of Crimea.
Upon returning to the base, we will have dinner, discuss the past day, discuss plans for tomorrow.
