The hike exceeded all expectations! Stunning nature, a very thoughtful route that allows you to see so many gorgeous and diverse landscapes in 10 days - mountains, steppes, valleys, canyons, and of course, Lake Issyk-Kul, on.

We visited two countries in a trip. Each of the countries deserves special attention - everywhere there are beautiful mountains, interesting national traditions and flavor, curious cities. Thanks KP for the opportunity to cover everything.

An excellent journey, which successfully combined national flavor and incredible natural beauty. I liked the route for its uniqueness. We had a chance to get acquainted with the national culture, way of life, and most importantly the untouched nature of the two Asian countries.

Dagestan is a bright tourist gem. But its brilliance has not yet attracted the attention of residents of Russia, near and far abroad. This is happening, in our opinion, for two main reasons: firstly, because of the socio-political instability in the country, and secondly, due to the absence of large investors, unprofessional management, unpreparedness of personnel for

Let's face it - Kyrgyzstan is one of the countries ideal for hiking. The nature of the country is delightful, and the absence of any signposts for routes in the mountains adds to the flavor of the adventure. The locals are very friendly, most of them speak Russian, so communication problems are very rare. In this article, we want to tell you about some of the things to expect when going hiking in Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyzstan is a country of Heavenly Mountains

More than 90% of the country's territory is occupied by mountains, while more than 40% of this territory is located above 3000 meters above sea level. The two most famous mountain systems here are Tien Shan and Pamir-Alai. The Pamir Mountains are located in the south of the country, not far from the city of Osh, and among them is the famous road - the Pamir Highway.

Tien Shan occupies the bulk of the country's territory. This mountain system is striking in its grandeur - the Tien Shan has almost 90 large mountain ranges and 40 peaks, located above 6,000 meters. The Tien Shan is spread over several countries, but most of it is located in Kyrgyzstan.

Thus, going on a hike in Kyrgyzstan, be prepared for difficult crossings over mountain passes and rivers, lack of signs on trails and other surprises that await tourists in the mountains.

Desert Lands of Remote Areas

There are many hiking routes in Kyrgyzstan. Some of them pass near rather large villages, sanatoriums or pastures, but there are also such routes on which you may not meet other people for several days.

Before setting off on a hike in Kyrgyzstan, we recommend that you carefully study the location of settlements on your route and their distance from the path you choose. It is worth considering the fact that you may need the help of local residents and if you have to get to this help for two days in the mountains, it is better to reconsider the chosen route.

Note that during the walking tours presented on our website, each group is equipped with communication facilities and has the opportunity to request assistance and evacuation by helicopter if necessary.

FLORA and FAUNA OF KYRGYZSTAN

There are quite a lot of different wild animals in Kyrgyzstan. Some of them are endangered, such as snow leopards, Marco Polo sheep, Siberian ibex, porcupines, foxes and various bird species. Snow leopards, Marco Polo sheep and Siberian ibex can be found only at the highest elevations of the Tien Shan, in the country's natural reserves.

Basically, there are few forests in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, most of them are concentrated in only a few gorges. In spring and summer, many slopes are filled with wild herbs, mushrooms and various wildflowers, some of which have not yet been classified or named.
