Specialists from the PRC today occupy a leading position in most branches of science and technology around the world, and this is largely due to the Chinese system of education and training. A school in China gives students not only knowledge - it instills the ability to work and survive in a competitive environment. This is a great bonus for adult professionals making their way to the top of their careers.

How the education system in China works

Chinese educational institutions are divided into three levels: primary, secondary, senior. They are often located in different buildings. In fact, these are different institutions that rarely interact, although there are joint schools, when those who attend, for example, primary and secondary levels, study under the same roof.

The total period of study is 12 years: 6 years at the primary level, three years at the secondary and senior levels. High school in China is an educational institution that already has its own rating; to get into a good class, you need to have high marks.

At school, Chinese students spend most of the day. Classes usually start at 8 am, but already at 7 am everything is in place. The kids leave after about 16:00, and the older ones stay for electives, work in the library until 20:00–21. 0 hours.

Classes throughout the day are what makes a Chinese school different from a Russian one. So for the Chinese, the expression "school is a second home" has a special meaning.

This is really their home: students spend little time with their parents, and they don't even dream of running aimlessly around the streets or in the yard. Discipline, respect for elders, the habit of working - these are the three pillars on which Chinese education stands.

Features of Chinese schools

In China, there is a compulsory nine-year free tuition. In high school, teenagers study at will. As a rule, these are those who are going to continue to receive higher education.

Study in China after the 9th grade can continue in public or private schools for a fee.

The attitude towards teachers is respectful, and if the teacher lightly hit the student with a pointer in case of disobedience, this is perceived as a well-deserved punishment.

The requirements for students and their behavior are very high in any educational institution in the PRC. Attendance at lessons is strictly compulsory: for 12 absenteeism, they may even be expelled from school.

For disobedient (according to parents) children, an alternative can be a kung fu school, in which children live, train, and receive basic primary education. Physical punishment is common there.

According to the results of the first half of the year, the number of Chinese tourists who went on foreign trips amounted to 62.03 million people, which is 5% more than in the same period in 2016. With details of Chinese statistics - "Vestnik ATOR".

GEOGRAPHY OF THE TRIP FROM PRC WILL BE EXPANDING

At least 30 million Chinese will leave China this summer, according to forecasts by the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA). According to the popular tourist resource Ctrip in China, in the first half of 2017, millions of Chinese residents traveled from more than 100 major cities in China to 130 foreign tourist destinations on organized tours, independent travel and cruises.

In total, the Chinese have planned overseas trips to 153 overseas destinations this year. According to experts from Ctrip, the expansion of the geography of travel and the growth in the volume of outbound flow from the PRC are associated with the fact that large travel companies in China are investing heavily in receiving their compatriots in Japan, Singapore, America and Europe.

Thailand is the number one overseas destination for Chinese tourists, according to Ctrip. More than 9 million Chinese are projected to come to Thailand this year alone.

In addition to the leader - Thailand, the top ten countries of Chinese outbound tourism include: South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, USA, Malaysia, Maldives, Vietnam and the Philippines (countries are listed in descending order of tourist traffic).

HOW POPULAR IS ORGANIZED TOURISM IN CHINA

Despite the fact that package tours are still in demand among the Chinese, there is a growing demand for independent travel, as well as for individual tours, implemented with the help of tour operators.

Thus, in the first half of 2017, 42% of Chinese tourists chose package tours, and 58% chose independent travel. “Package tours are still attractive, especially in the cities of the“ second ”and“ third ”tier (the cities of the“ first ”tier in China include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and several other cities).

Analysis of bookings on Ctrip shows that family travelers and older people are the main audience for package tours. While individual tours and independent trips, due to their flexibility, are of interest to younger tourists, including young families, ”says the report of the Chinese resource. At the same time, Ctrip emphasizes that it is "individual travel" that is a kind of "dark horse" of outbound tourism in China. Orders on Ctrip show solo travel destinations spanning 956 cities in 107 countries.

As in many world educational systems, education in the People's Republic of China is divided into several stages. Studying begins in a preschool institution, after the children move on to studying sciences in elementary school, then secondary school goes on, and education ends in higher educational institutions.

As soon as a Chinese child reaches 3 years old, he goes to kindergarten. Education lasts 3 years, after which they transfer to primary school. All kindergartens in the PRC are divided into three types: private, state and departmental.

Children's groups in the garden are quite large, up to 30 people. All lessons, games are held collectively, with the obligatory participation of all children. Since there is most often one child in an ordinary Chinese family, such a collective pastime helps to instill in the children a sense of mutual help and participation. Every morning begins with raising the national flag, patriotism is taught here from an early age.

Upon entering kindergarten, the child receives a uniform and a backpack in the same style for all kids. It is not necessary to wear these things, but often children choose them, and parents do not have to constantly look for some new comfortable clothes. Plus, the uniform shape instills a sense of community. The kindergarten time ends with a grand concert dedicated to children's success. Kids sing, dance and show what hieroglyphs they learned, what toys they learned to make with their own hands.

Each children's group is well equipped, has its own computer, printer, scanner and TV. Children sleep on the floor, on special mattresses. There is a separate room for games, where several groups of kids gather. Nurses of the kindergarten constantly monitor the health of children, from time to time parents receive an information sheet, where all the parameters of the child are described, indicating the height, weight and even the number of new teeth.
