In 2018, more than 1.5 thousand projects from 70 regions of Russia took part in the competition. When choosing events, the quality of the presentation of information in the National Calendar of Events, as well as the idea and format of the event itself, was assessed: how "in trend" it is and how interesting it is for tourists.

Since 2012, the Amur Waves International Military Music Festival has been held in Khabarovsk in order to preserve, popularize and promote brass music, exchange experience between musicians to improve their professional skills. The geography of the festival participants is huge, every year groups from Moscow to the Kamchatka Territory demonstrate their art. In addition to the best brass bands of the Russian Federation, guests from foreign countries take part in the festival.
Throughout the entire existence of the festival, musical groups from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Singapore, Mongolia, the People's Republic of China, an orchestra of Celtic bagpipes and drums (European Union) and others have taken part in it. Sounds of wind musical instruments sound at various concert venues and streets of the city of Khabarovsk throughout all festival days.
"Stork over the Amur" is an annual festival of creativity of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the north. By tradition, the festival program consists of performances by national groups, demonstrations of ceremonies, an exhibition of products by masters of decorative and applied arts (clothing and household items made of fish skin, fur with embroidery elements).
Within the framework of the festival, contests are held in the following nominations: "Master of arts and crafts"; "Contest-defile of modern and traditional clothes with elements of national embroidery"; National Housing Competition; "Competition of national cuisine" - the preparation of a variety of delicious dishes from various types of fish, berries, wild meat, game, steam baked goods; "National Costume Competition" - an exhibition of national dressing gowns, children's clothes, accessories, panels, amulets made of fish skin with filigree hand embroidery by masters of decorative and applied arts.
At the exhibition area of the festival, delegates erect khomaran - summer houses of the Nanai. They equip the dwelling with household utensils, children's toys, make a fire in the hearths, creating the comfort and atmosphere of an old Nanai camp.
Tourism in the Khabarovsk Territory is distinguished by the prevalence of outbound over inbound tourism. Domestic tourist resources in the region are mainly natural. Sports tourism is developed in green areas around cities such as Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Amursk. The Amur River flows through the territory of the region, which in the species diversity of fish in the Northern Hemisphere ranks second after the Mississippi. 
In the all-Russian rating of tourist attractiveness, the Khabarovsk Territory took ninth place out of 40 regions.

In the northern regions, autumn comes a month earlier. The winter is characterized by cloudless weather with severe frosts, often accompanied by winds. On the coast, frosts are somewhat weaker. It is this period that is offered to tourists who want to admire the harsh beauty of winter Russia. In the region it is carried out both in the form of extreme sports rafting, and in the form of hunting, fishing and ecological tourism; most often they are combined.
