As a percentage, the number of tourists visiting Thailand in 2010 is 98% more than in 2009.

This demand, which can be characterized as above average in terms of popularity, can be explained by the fact that Thailand has particularly attractive tourist and recreational resources, which distinguish this country from competing countries in terms of tourism.

The term "tourist and recreational resources" by definition means a set of components of natural complexes and objects of historical and cultural heritage that form the harmony of the integrity of the landscape, the direct or indirect consumption of which has a beneficial effect, contributes to the maintenance and restoration of physical and spiritual health person.

The natural and recreational potential of the territory is one of the leading prerequisites for the development of tourism. A meaningful analysis of territories with high natural resource potential suggests the following. For the sustainable development of such territories, intended for the effective restoration of public health, natural and socio-economic complexes on it should be an integral self-organizing system of varying hierarchical complexity and spatial coverage, which may be in different structural and dynamic states.

Thai cuisine is associated primarily with the taste of bananas, citrus fruits, pineapples, coconut milk, fresh coriander, lemongrass, garlic and chilli. The question may arise - why chili, and not brown, because India, where the cuisine is based on the use of numerous types of curries, is located nearby, in the West. The fact is that chili appeared in Thailand along with Portuguese missionaries who became addicted to it in South America. The king of the Thai table is of course rice. Rice is the basis of most recipes, in addition, it is often used as an addition to other dishes: it is customary for them to "breed" especially spicy dishes. Table setting in Thai is a large dish of rice, second courses are also served on a dish and sauces common to all members of the company. Soup, or rather broth, is served for each companion separately, and it is customary to add rice to soup, even with noodles.

Meat in Thailand is consumed relatively little, it is considered a festive dish. Favorite Thais pork, chicken or duck are combined with vegetables, noodles, fish or seafood and poured with a lot of sauce.

The most common seasoning is mild fish sauce. This is how Thais differ from most countries in Southeast Asia, where soy is the basis for making the sauce. Fish sauce is a light brown liquid, salty, but with a mild taste, rich in protein and B vitamins.

Another distinctive feature of Thai cuisine is the widespread use of processed coconut products. For frying r. ASSESSMENT OF THE LEVEL OF TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN THE COUNTRY

There are four tourist and recreational regions on the territory of the country: Central, North, North-East and South. Each of them is unique in its recreational resources and objects of attraction for tourists. Tourism is a subsidized budget item. Therefore, much attention is paid to the development of tourism. The Thai government expects to double the number of incoming foreign tourists in the next ten years. According to the ten-year tourism development plan, which was approved by the government, it should reach 22,500,000. In 2001, Thailand expected to receive 8,800,000 tourists, but this figure has reached 9 million people. Compared to 2000, the number of tourists increased by 500 thousand people. In the next five years, Thailand hopes to receive 16 million tourists annually, and tourism revenue should be 10 billion dollars a year.

From November to March, Thailand is the most promising destination for our tourism. The main advantage is that during these months no country, except perhaps Egypt, can offer sun, sea and beach. The carrier in Thailand, Aeroflot, is the best option.
