History of India’s travel companies is rather interesting. The first major travel ‘arranger’ to open on the Indian subcontinent was British-owned Cox & Kings.

This company was started in 1758. Rapid colonization of the Indian subcontinent and the need for people to travel due to industrialization saw more companies enter this lucrative business.

Today, India is home to some of the largest travel companies of the world.

Russia lifts travel restrictions for citizens of Finland, Vietnam, India and Qatar. These countries could become major suppliers of tourists to Russia: there are already applications from Indian groups for the summer. Tour operators have assessed the prospects for restoring the inbound tourist flow to Russia.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 136-r.

“Citizens of these states and those who have a residence permit there are allowed to enter Russia through air checkpoints. The Russians, in turn, can also fly to any of these countries, ”the government’s website said in a statement.

Let us remind you that Russia will open flights with India, Vietnam, Qatar and Finland from January 27, 2021. It is reported that flights are opened on a reciprocal basis, but it seems that this is not entirely true.

For example, India has closed flights to all countries at least until January 31, 2021. Finland is also not yet ready to allow guests from Russia for tourism purposes. According to the spokesman for the Interior Ministry Eriikki Koistinen, restrictions on entry from Russia will be in effect at least until February 25.

As for the entry of foreign citizens into Russia, the current decisions do not speak about the opening of an inbound tourist flow from India, Vietnam, Qatar and Finland, tour operators say.

“These countries themselves are now not particularly interested in outbound tourist traffic,” says Artur Muradyan, general director of the tour operator Space Travel.

It is also important that Russia has temporarily suspended the issuance of electronic visas, which was supposed to begin on January 1, 2021. Visas will not be issued until a special order from the government, according to the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Only certain categories of citizens will be able to use the renewed flights so far.

Holidays in India - some information for tourists

Among all the variety of tours that Southeast Asia can offer, India is worth noting separately. It is India that is one of the most amazing not only in Asia, but in the whole world. Some of the most ancient civilizations were born on the territory of this country, India became the homeland of Buddhism and Hinduism, and today the population of this state is the second largest on the planet. It is very important to say that in many tourist centers in Southeast Asia the cost of recreation is very low, while the quality of service remains at a fairly good level.

For me, India is not only a rich culture and hundreds of attractions with a long history. It also includes special treatments, unique cosmetics, extraordinary beaches, dizzying shopping and amazing gastronomy. In today's review, I will talk about four completely different resorts in India, visiting which will be able to get the most of the experience, and not just see one side of this country. Yes, India is not a wealthy state, unsanitary conditions, chaos, quite a lot of rubbish reign here, everything is unsatisfactory with security. In principle, this is typical of all developing countries - do not expect luxury and chic from India, but otherwise, I guarantee, you will not be disappointed.

Capital of India - Travel Delhi

The capital of India is Delhi. This city can hardly be called a tourist paradise, but if you want to see modern India, then it is worth a visit. In addition to modern hotels and endless residential areas, this city is full of historical and cultural attractions. It is there that the Qutub Minar is located, which is the tallest minaret in the world.

Of great interest is the Red Fort, which is a fortress made of sandstone. Additional attractions include Delhi:

  • Baha'i Temple (Lotus Temple);
  • Humayun's Tomb (the so-called “Taj Mahal in Delhi”);
  • Jama Mosque Masjid;
  • the main street of Chandni Chowk;
  • Akshardham temple complex;
  • Lodi Gardens;
  • War Memorial Gate of India.

The most famous and popular tourist attraction in India is undoubtedly the Taj Mahal. This mausoleum was built by order of Emperor Shah Jahman and is considered one of the symbols of this amazing country. And if you want to spend time not only on the beaches of Goa, then you should definitely see this ancient monument.

Kerala Resort - Beach Holidays in India

Kerala resorts are gaining popularity lately. There you can enjoy the stunning tropical nature and find everything you need to heal your soul and body. And all this is complemented by excellent beaches with clear water and white clean sand. The best beaches in Kerala are:

  • Moppila Bay is a quiet, calm harbor where there are few tourists, the entry into the water is gentle, the territory was recently reconstructed, there are ruins of an old fort nearby.
  • Nattika is a wild beach, where tourists are also rare, there are 2 budget hotels and dozens of beautiful coconut trees nearby. Clean and calm, the nature is magnificent.
  • Cherai is famous not only for its golden coast (waves are not uncommon), but also for seafood in local restaurants. Be sure to stop by for a tasting.
  • Kappad is another peaceful beach where you can soak up the sand and take a picture next to the Vasco da Gama stella, because the navigator landed in this place in India.
  • Allappy or Venice of the East is a beach with an abundance of rivers, coves, lagoons and lakes. The sand is golden, the water is clear, but the entrance to the sea is sharp, the depth is great, there are waves, so it is better not to come here with children.

The rating of the excellent beaches of the Kerala resort includes Kovalam, Patiramanal, Marari. In 2020, there are significantly more tourists here, so in many places, of course, you should forget about the vaunted seclusion.
