Psychological tourism (psi-tourism) is a new and rapidly developing area of modern tourism. Its appearance is due to the intense rhythm of human life, especially in large cities, which constantly keeps you in suspense and does not allow you to relax for a moment. Stress, rush, bustle, noises have a destructive effect on both the physical and mental health of each of us. It is not always possible to fully recover on weekends. The only hope remains - a vacation. How to carry it out? At sea or to take up your own development? Why not combine both? To help those who want not only to relax, but also to improve themselves, psychological tourism has appeared.

What does psychological tourism include?

Psychological tourism is a specially developed technology for the restoration and maintenance of human psychological health in the modern world. It is known that the nervous system and the human body as a whole overwork not only and not so much mental and physical labor, but also the emotions received by him during his life. Bad mood, anger, fear, and other negative emotions deprive a person of vigor, lead to a breakdown, loss of mental balance, depression.

Sometimes, in order to free yourself from this, reboot, you need to leave, completely relax and gain new emotions, new knowledge, acquire new skills in order to put life on a completely different track. The combination of an interesting vacation with the acquisition of useful psychological skills and abilities is psychological tourism. During this period, a person can both relax and learn, for example, effective communication, quick relaxation skills, time management.

Forms of psychological tourism

There are many forms of psychological tourism today.

This is also a trip to the mountains with a guide and a psychologist.

These are trips to various resorts, where the rest is accompanied by interesting trainings.

This is eco-tourism, where a person immerses himself in nature and at the same time learns some psychological skills. They usually live on such programs in tents and exclusively in purely natural conditions.

There is also more civilized tourism: in modern cities with an excursion program and accompanying training.

Ideal psychological tourism is:

Psychological tourism (psitourism) is a completely new and increasingly popular direction of tourism. This type of tourism has emerged in response to the ever-increasing pace of life and the level of stress among people living in metropolitan areas. People have forgotten how to qualitatively rest and recuperate, and constant stress at work, noise and rush - all this has a detrimental effect on our well-being and health. Weekends for a good rest in such conditions are not enough. Therefore, psiturism appeared and began to develop, which will appeal to those who want to relax at sea, and at the same time have time to pay attention to their self-development and self-improvement.

What is psitourism?

Psychological tourism is aimed at the physical and mental state of a person exhausted by the stresses and problems typical of urban residents, careerists. Many residents of megacities suffer from depression and mental disorders. The best way to get out of this swamp is to do an emotional reset. The ideal variant of such a reboot is a journey, new acquaintances, everything that "pulls out" from ordinary reality, where you can forget about everything that is left at home. Such a vacation is an ideal combination of educational excursions and new knowledge in some interesting area of self-development.

If you just go on vacation, then upon return, all problems return in any case, but after training on self-development or time management, or communication, or motivation and goal-setting, or meditation and relaxation, people return not only rested and inspired, but also armed with specific skills and knowledge that will help solve some problems, or even direct life in a fundamentally new direction.

Today there are different areas of psychological tourism:

  • a trip to another country or city for some training, including interesting excursions,
  • ecotourism (most often this happens in nature, the participants live in tents, learn about the world around and acquire some useful skills),
  • a hike with a psychologist and a guide, etc.

Effective psychological tourism includes psychological "reboot", acquisition of new skills, quality relaxation, revealing one's potential and self-development. Such rest should be combined with knowledge of other cultures, meeting new people and self-development.

Tourist program

As a rule, a trip is devoted to a specific topic, based on which the most suitable places for living, seminars and excursions are selected. The most optimal number of participants is from 10-12 to 15 people. Usually such a group is accompanied by a trainer-psychologist, who draws up the training program itself, and also helps all participants to relax and achieve harmony. Also, such a group is usually accompanied by people responsible for organizing comfortable conditions for the participants.

If the program is chosen correctly, then the participants will return physically and mentally recovered and full of fresh ideas.
