The coronavirus pandemic and closed borders have changed the format and timing of industry exhibition events around the world. We found out what will happen to Russian and foreign tourism exhibitions and forums.
As a reminder, the Moscow authorities have allowed the resumption of spectacular, cultural and leisure, entertainment, exhibition, educational, mass physical culture, sports, advertising and other similar events since January 22, provided that the number of visitors cannot exceed 50% of the total the capacity of the respective premises.
This decision and the ongoing mitigation of antiquated restrictions in the capital against the background of the improvement in the situation with COVID-19 give reason to speak with confidence about holding two major tourism exhibitions in Moscow - MITT-2021 and Intourmarket - offline. format.
As the organizers of these events told Vestnik ATOR, all exhibitions will be held on time.
Thus, the international tourism exhibition MITT will be held at Crocus Expo from March 16 to 18. According to the director of the exhibition, Artyom Chernyshov, exhibitions in the Moscow region, where Crocus Expo is geographically located, are permitted.
As Mr. Chernyshov noted, MITT-2021 will be held under the sign of Russian regions. They are expected to be about 60, while the exposition will feature regions that have not previously participated in tourism exhibitions. As for foreign exhibitors, for obvious reasons, there will be noticeably fewer of them than before the pandemic. Nevertheless, foreign participants from 15-20 countries are expected at MITT-2021. At the moment, the exhibition program has already been completed by 90%.
According to Mr. Chernyshov, the MITT business program or the exhibition itself will not be broadcast on the Internet. “An exhibition is an event where people come to communicate live with business partners. But in the business program itself there will be online broadcasts with those speakers who, physically, will not be able to come to Russia, ”he explained.
MITT-2021 will be held in strict compliance with sanitary requirements, including the mandatory wearing of a mask by participants and visitors. The organizers of the exhibition will check the presence of a mask at the entrance, no masks will not be allowed. If the visitor does not have a mask with him, then it will be provided to the guest at the entrance.
In the first days of April, the Intourmarket exhibition will also take place as planned. According to its director Olga Khotochkina, Intourmarket will take place from April 1 to April 3 at Expocentre on Krasnaya Presnya. Traditionally, the main participants of the exhibition will be the Russian regions.
"According to preliminary data, more than 70 regions will take part in the Intourmarket, both with their own stands and at the consolidated stands of interregional projects, such as" Imperial Route "," Tsar's Road "," Silver Necklace ", A stand for children's tourism", - said Ms. Khotochkina.
