Vladivostok - the center of tourism in the Far East

Vladivostok, located on the coast of the Peter the Great Gulf, on the Muravyov-Amursky Peninsula and is the administrative center of the Primorsky Territory, which is located in the very east of the Russian Federation.

Vladivostok and tourism

Vladivostok is a city of European culture, close to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. This factor plays a huge role in attracting tourists from the nearby eastern states. Within the framework of the project for the development of the Far East, the Eastern Ring program has been developed. It is aimed at ensuring that the cultural sphere of the city can meet the needs of the townspeople, residents of the region and guests of the city.

Several temporary and permanent sites have been opened in the city for the operation of branches of the Mariinsky Theater, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum and other cultural institutions of the country. Today Vladivostok already occupies high places in various polls and ratings on the level of tourist attractiveness of the city in the region, country and the world.

Accommodation of tourists in the city is provided by a network of high-class hotels, which can, at the request of customers, provide meals in their own restaurants.

In recent years, Vladivostok has been visited by up to a million tourists for various purposes. About 90% of visitors are residents of neighboring and neighboring countries.

It is the representatives of China, Japan, Mongolia (about the country - . oyaindia.u/puteshestviya/aziya-i-afrika/mongoliya.tml), Korea and other countries come to the capital of Primorsky Krai ... People come here for business meetings, exhibitions organized by large companies, international and regional conferences. Today, business tourism accounts for more than 70% of the total flow of visitors.

Today, more than half of all travel agencies in Primorye are concentrated in Vladivostok, which work with clients on all issues related to the tourism business.

History of Vladivostok

The largest city in the Far East was formed back in 1860, when a military post was founded in the Golden Horn Bay, which received a name that did not change the city throughout its existence. The first settlers living in tents on one of the coastal hills were three dozen military personnel.

The first civilians of the settlement were merchants and peasants, and later rumors about Vladivostok spread around the world. After some time, at the beginning of the 20th century, the British, Poles, Jews, Scandinavians, Italians and, of course, representatives of neighboring countries lived in the city. For this reason, religious buildings of different religious denominations arose in the city.

Vladivostok - the center of tourism in the Far East

The Far East is a region that attracts foreign and Russian tourists both for its "cultural content" and, of course, for the diversity and uniqueness of nature. Already today, a single tourist brand of the macroregion is being actively formed - the "Eastern Ring of Russia", in which the Primorsky Territory is given an important place. Director of the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Territory Daria Guseva told how to promote a junior tourist product in the Internet era, what European tourists expect from Primorsky Territory, and what the III Pacific Tourism Forum (TTF-2017) in Vladivostok will be like.

The Eastern Ring of Russia is a single brand that demonstrates the diverse tourism potential of the regions of the Far East and Transbaikalia. Reflected in the Strategy for the Development of the Far East and the Baikal Region for the period up to 2025, approved in 2009. The "Eastern Ring of Russia" includes the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Buryatia, Zabaikalsky, Kamchatsky, Primorsky and Khabarovsk Territories, Amur, Irkutsk, Magadan and Sakhalin Regions, the Jewish Autonomous Region and the Chukotka Autonomous District.
