Business tourism from Moscow

Moscow is a great city with a rich history and interesting sights, which many people want to visit, not only from Russia, but also from abroad. Today Moscow is the largest conglomerate with a population of over 12 million people, so it is among the top 10 largest cities in the world.

Occupying an area of over 2.5 thousand km2, the city is the concentration of not only political, but also cultural life, science and economic development. It is not surprising why tourists tend to come here to see historical monuments, visit Red Square, feel the metropolitan atmosphere and gain new impressions and emotional experiences.

The first mentions of Moscow as a city date back to the end of the 1st millennium AD. ., in the Ipatiev Chronicle, dated 1147, where it is mentioned that Vyatichi and Krivichi lived here. At the same time, there is every reason to believe that people have lived on this territory since the Neolithic, as evidenced by numerous archaeological excavations. In the Birch Bark Charter, which was compiled around the middle of the 12th century, the city of Moscow is referred to as Kuchkov, and scientists still cannot come to a single conclusion about the etymology of that word.

At the end of the 13th century, Moscow became the center of an appanage principality and began to rapidly expand its possessions, which was already happening during the reign of Daniel Alexandrovich. Soon Kolomenskoye and Mozhaiskoye were annexed to the Moscow principality, which merged together. Under Ivan Kalita, the first stone buildings began to appear in Moscow, since before that all buildings in the city were wooden.

During the reign of John III, nicknamed the Terrible, the Moscow principality turns into a kingdom, which was largely facilitated by the significant expansion of the country due to the annexation of additional lands.

Moscow was seized by foreigners more than once, from the Polish invaders to the Napoleonic army in 1812, which led to fires and the loss of a number of cultural and historical monuments. It is interesting to note that for over 200 years, from 1712 to 1918, St. Petersburg was considered the capital of the Russian Empire, although Moscow still retained the status of the first capital. In Soviet times, the city regained its lost status, actively grew and developed, thanks to which it significantly increased its influence.

During the years of industrialization, urban public transport (trams, trolleybuses, buses, metro) began to develop actively, and from the second half of the twentieth century, multi-storey residential buildings began to be actively built.

Getting to the capital is not difficult at all, since Moscow has excellent transport links with all regions of the Russian Federation. Moreover, 3 airports (Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo) receive daily flights from major cities in America, Western Europe and Asia, so even foreigners can easily fly to Moscow with a direct flight. In addition, there are 9 railway stations in the city, which receive a huge flow of people.

You can get around the city itself both by private car and by public transport, the most convenient of the latter being the metro. A well-designed warning system allows anyone, including a tourist, to easily get to the desired area of the city within just a few minutes. You can also get around the city by minibuses, taxis, trolleybuses and buses.

Given the huge territory and a large number of interesting places, each tourist determines for himself what exactly he wants to see in the city. Based on this, an excursion route is drawn up, which has several dozen options, designed for both one and several days. If the task is to see the most important sights in a short time, then it is best to contact one of the travel companies that provide a guide. With its help, you can not only inspect the most interesting places, but also learn the history of the origin of the monument, get a lot of additional information that will expand the horizons of a person.

At the same time, no one prohibits tourists from traveling around the city, drawing up their own routes, which, however, need to be planned taking into account not only interests, but also convenience in terms of transport. It is immediately worth noting the good quality of the road surface, however, unfortunately, this is not always noticeable due to the numerous traffic jams that occur almost every day during rush hours. For this reason, you should plan your route to avoid them, preventing the loss of precious time.

The Family Suitcase company regularly conducts trips on comfortable buses.

Considering the capital status of the city, there is a huge number of hotels, hostels, hotels and motels, designed for both VIPs and quite ordinary people - tourists, visiting workers, students and other categories of citizens and foreigners. Finding them will not be difficult, but you need to proceed from your financial capabilities and preferences.
