As you already understood, the article will focus on internships for doctors in South Korea. But first I want to tell you a little about this interesting country.

Why visit South Korea?

Let's start with what I know about South Korea not by hearsay. My husband worked there for some time and his memories are the warmest.

South Korea is an amazing country to be on the must-see list. It occupies a small area, but is very developed economically and is ranked 14th in the world. From here such well-known brands as HYUNDAI, KIA MOTORS (cars), SUMSUNG (electronics, mobile phones, monitors) came to us.

South Korea has a high level of education and is relatively safe to live in. The work of teachers is appreciated here, which is considered prestigious and highly paid. Rachals in South Korea are also a very honorable and well-paid profession. Moreover, Korean medicine is developing very quickly, but more on that later.

Since the country is very small, civilization has penetrated literally all its corners. Despite the fact that it is difficult to find an urn on the street, it is always clean here. The locals are generous, helpful and welcoming. Free Internet access is available almost everywhere.

Korean women and Koreans pay great attention to how they look, so high-quality natural cosmetics are in demand here, and they are relatively cheap. Plastic surgery at an affordable price is popular in the country, but the services of a dentist are very expensive.

Korean food

Korean food is predominantly spicy. The main food in the diet of Koreans is rice, and they also love meat. National dishes are very tasty:

Home About Korea Traveling to South Korea: COVID-19 Rules

The COVID-19 regulations are new regulations to be followed. We know and understand that under the current circumstances travel conditions may be less convenient: when traveling to South Korea or any other country, we will have to follow local rules.

In the case of South Korea, the local government has implemented several protocols for entering citizens. The first protocol enters into force from the airport, acting as a checkpoint to enter the country. Foreigners will have to go through different checkpoints to check. To better understand these protocols, the Medical Avenue team has developed a quick guide for our clients who are planning a medical trip to South Korea.

Security Measures: Arrival at Incheon Airport

Cooperation between the parties begins with trust: the South Korean authorities ask all foreigners arriving at Incheon Airport to complete a yellow form, which contains information on COVID-19 quarantine rules, departure points and a questionnaire on possible symptoms. Foreigners should be aware that knowingly providing incomplete or false information may have legal consequences. Upon arrival, the "Korean Preventive Teams" regularly disinfect handles, tables, railings and the entire room. The Korean government also provides free on-site medical consultations in case a visitor has symptoms or other health complaints. If necessary, the visitor will be required to take a COVID-19 test at the airport.

Temperature scanners are located in front of passport control. There, the airport staff will help the visitor download the "quarantine control application" on their smartphones. This application must be updated by the user twice a day. If the user is unable to update their status in the application, the control officer can call or visit the visitor's location for verification purposes.

Once everything is established, the Immigration Officer will call your South Korea contact (listed in the "yellow form") to check the relationship/relationship/relationship with the specified contact. For Medical Avenue clients, our team will provide all the necessary contacts and information in advance before flying to South Korea.

Mandatory-day quarantine

Medical Avenue clients (most) do not have a permanent residence in South Korea. Thus, clients arriving in South Korea will have to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine at a government-designated facility. The cost of living in this facility is about US $ 80 per day, including 3 meals a day.

Visitors are allowed into the baggage claim area only after passing through passport control and COVID-19 quarantine control. Outside the airport gates, visitors are not allowed to make contact and communicate with other people. After passport and quarantine control, visitors will need to go to the last checkpoint.

In this final verification step, foreign visitors must take the COVID-19 test. It takes less than 5 minutes, but the results can take several hours. After passing the test, airport staff instruct visitors about the transfers that will take them to a special facility to stay during quarantine.
