Mount Kunya

A beautiful view of the Yenisei and nearby hills opens from the top of the mountain. The mountains Kunya, Tepsei, Oglakhty and Sukhanikha, together with the Krasnoyarsk Sea, form the natural complex “Yenisei Gates”.

On the mountain you can see ancient rock paintings - this is the Podkuninskaya Pisanitsa. There are 323 images of people and animals here. Scientists attribute their appearance to the 2nd millennium BC. e. You can climb the hill on your own and as part of an excursion group. The distance from the foot to the top of the mountain is about 2 km.

Mount Borus

The Borus Ridge is located on the border of Khakassia and Krasnoyarsk Territory. It belongs to the Western Sayan system. The mountain range has 5 peaks located next to each other. They all have a height of about 2 km and form a unique landscape of these places. The highest peak is Poylova Peak, or Bolshoi Borus (2318 m).

There are two versions of the origin of the name of the mountain. More beautiful is the Khakass legend. According to her, Borus (in other words - Burgus) escaped at the summit when the waters of a global flood hit the earth. According to the second legend, the most plausible, the mountain was named after its first conquerors - Borisov and Rusanov.

All time:

Mineral underground waters on the territory of the Republic of Khakassia are currently very poorly used.

There is not much information about Khakassia, and even on the map, not everyone will find it the first time. Khakassia was an autonomous region in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in the early 90s it became a republic. Khakassia is very small on the scale of Siberia and the population density here is only ten people per square kilometer. And most of the population lives in cities, and there are only five of them. The cities are quite modern, but if you leave their city limits, you find yourself in a different dimension.

Endless spaces where you can easily get lost, wildlife, steppes and taiga, lakes, rivers, caves, waterfalls. Time has stopped here. Whole peoples and races passed through these lands, and the Khakass Khanate was perhaps the most powerful khanate in ancient times. Only mounds and stones-menhirs, which still saw the Huns and the hordes of Genghis Khan, remained from the former power. Stones and mounds still excite the minds of scientists and seekers of everything unknown and unknown.

The best cities and resorts of Khakassia

Khakassian cities do not have old quarters or numerous museums, since they were founded in the Soviet years, and all the most interesting places in the republic are located far from them. Basic.
