A trip along the Pra river in the Ryazan region is good for everyone. Firstly, not far from Moscow, and there is a convenient drop-off. Secondly, despite the proximity of civilization, the places are quite remote. Thirdly, a lot of pleasure from communicating with nature, and a great vacation. The route runs from the town of Spas-Klepiki to the village of Deulino. Its total length is 70 kilometers. There are no slalom, rapids and other difficulties on the route. It can be recommended for family holidays, with a 2-3 day walk at a calm pace, with stops, overnight stays, fishing and visiting the surrounding area.
You can take direct bus routes from Moscow - from the bus station near the Shchelkovskaya metro station or from the bus station near the Vykhino metro station. You can also take a train from Kazansky railway station to Ryazan, from where by bus to Spas-Klepikov. All directions are quite busy in terms of transport, and there are no problems with getting there. The only thing is, you may have to buy tickets in advance. The four of us traveled on a frame kayak Taimen-3.
And due to the convenience of transport communication, we did not experience any difficulties with the transportation of the kayak. For those who travel on inflatable kayaks, this is generally an easy walk. From the bus station in Spas-Klepiki to the river - 200 meters.
The first part of the route, to the village of Vzvoz, passes among treeless and fairly populated shores. The villages are located both to the right and to the left, and the river is divided into many channels, but flows relatively straight, making non-steep loops. The current is unhurried, comfortable, about 4 km/h. The channel expands, then narrows, and has a width of 30 to 50 meters. There are no underwater and surface obstacles.
After Vzvoz, the river enters the forest zone, and begins to wind harder. There are many backwaters, blind sleeves and channels in it. It's nice to swim and admire nature. If in the first part of the route the shores were very crowded and noisy, here the opposite is true.
Deep forests stretch between rare small villages. Mixed as well as pure pine forests, often approaching the river with beautiful sandy cliffs. There are a lot of parking places, including well-equipped and fairly clean ones, with a supply of firewood, hastily put together benches and other tourist attributes. Tourists come across quite often: on kayaks of various types, catamarans, motor boats. But no one bothers a friend, there is enough space for everyone, both on the river and on the banks.
No serious obstacles. The first blockage is found near the village of Olgino. It is located behind the forest on the left bank, and is not visible. The blockage can be bypassed along one of the channels. The second blockage is a little further, also bypasses along the channel. The third one is also bypassed in front of the bridge to the village of Gorki, along the channel closer to the right bank. Downstream on the peninsula on the left, formed by the bend of the river, there is a spacious and clean, well-equipped parking lot in a thinned pine forest. It is called the Idolv, and it is marked on the map. Further there are many sandy beaches, there are shallows and one more blockage that requires a detour - at the end of the route.
Group so. Altair on the River Beautiful Sword (from 7 to 14 May 2008)
It all started corny - we had to go through route II grade, and everything continued corny, except that instead of the standard two Msta, we moved in a completely different direction, on the river. raskivaya Sword.
The spring of 2008 turned out to be such that for all the rivers of the central part of our country, the concept of water in May was of little use, and we were fully convinced that we had nothing to catch on Msta with catamarans. When they started thinking about an alternative, they stumbled upon the fact that there were no twos in the vicinity at all, and almost immediately I remembered a good threshold in the Lipetsk region on the river. osnas, and despite Lipchan's assurances about the uniqueness of this obstacle and about the absence of similar obstacles nearby, and the rivers in general, at least no matter how much suitable for grade II, we nevertheless decided to look in this particular area.
The Beautiful Sword was chosen according to two criteria:
When I finally came to graduate, I was immediately glad that this route has long been known by the water workers of our vast country, and is listed in the classifier as a route of the first category of difficulty. However, this assessment of the river assumed, according to the report, the removal of 7 obstacles, the possibility of passing which was not said, just as it was not said about the nature and complexity of these. Once again, looking at the satellite images, we nevertheless decided to risk our time and go to the Beautiful Sword River.
The first half of the section of the river we are interested in is in the Tula region, and the second, respectively, in the Lipetsk region. We started the rafting from the town of frems (along the roads about 240 km from Ryazan) where we got there by electric trains, with three changes: st. Yazan-2, Art. yazhsk, st. evil, Art. frems. Due to the fact that the timetables of electric trains do not fit well, we traveled all day from 08:00 to 23:00, although other ways of access are not excluded, as well as the option of transferring by car is more than acceptable. Buses were not considered by us, because. in addition to catamarans, there were also kayaks. But we finished the route in the Lipetsk region, in the village of ol. Popovo (260 km from Ryazan), which is located at the confluence of the Mechi into the Don. The calm flow of the Don allowed us to descend 4 km to the threshold of interest to us, and return back to the village, from where we left with two cars.
I must say that the river fully justifies its name, it is really very beautiful. But, perhaps, it is worth highlighting the last section (the last 40 km of the river), as more picturesque and technically interesting in terms of passing obstacles.
If we compare it with Msta, then we can highlight a number of advantages of p. Sword racking:

The editors of our weekly on the Zoom platform held an online conference on the topic: "Development of tourism in the Ryazan region." Relevance to this topic was added by the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
Due to the introduction of restrictive measures, we recall that almost all public institutions and organizations in the region have suspended their work for several months. Tourism facilities were no exception.
How did they survive the high alert period? What have our cultural and tourism institutions done to avoid losing visitors? Have you managed to restore the tourist flow now? These and other topics were discussed at the online roundtable.
According to the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the region, currently the tourism business is doing everything to recover its losses, which it suffered during the introduction of restrictive measures. “It is more difficult for our travel agencies,” said Olga Goleva. - This is a small business, which is more focused on the rest of Ryazan residents abroad. But.
And the domestic market, by the way, at the end of August was also profitable. The Federal Agency for Tourism launched a cashback program, which was aimed at stimulating domestic tourism. About 14 of our companies participated in it. “Currently the action has been completed, but perhaps there will be a new sales window, Rosturizm is now discussing this issue,” Goleva explained. In any case, I urge all Ryazan residents to rest at home. Our infrastructure is not inferior to the infrastructure of other regions. "
And soon our tourist infrastructure will noticeably increase. In the Ryazan region, the concept of the Paustovsky ecological and tourist cluster was developed to participate in the competition of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
This project, by the way, provides for the integrated development of two territories - the Solotchinsky Park and the Meshchersky National Park. It is easy to guess what kind of person unites these territories. Of course, Konstantin Paustovsky, the great Russian writer who wrote a lot about our Meshchera. “We really hope that the project will be implemented,” Olga Goleva continued, “and in the coming years we will create high-quality infrastructure for ecotourism on the territory of the Meshchersky National Park and Solotchinsky Park with equipped trails, viewing platforms, cycling routes, parking lots ... this project from the side of investors. And this is already one of the goals of the cluster implementation ”.
An important point should be highlighted right away - the creation of infrastructure in specially protected natural areas does not imply the construction of capital construction projects, as many have already thought. “The main advantage of the cluster is nature,” stressed the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the region. “The main task is not to harm it, but at the same time to make the stay of tourists comfortable in this territory.”
The fact that tourists love our region is evidenced by one fact: they began to come to us back in June, when the tourism industry was almost not working. Oksana Morozova, the leading tourism manager of the Tourist Information Center of the Ryazan Region, spoke about this at the conference.
