Trekking plan:

Day 1 (August 6, 2021): At 12:10 the group meets at the railway station of the city of Priozersk. We get to know each other, distribute public equipment among our backpacks and load into a minibus. We will reach the pier, we will have a little time left, we will be able to walk to the beach, and if the weather is good, we will have a swim. Then by ship (at 14:00) we sail to our goal - to the Valaam archipelago! It is about 65 kilometers from Priozersk to it, which our ship will cover in about 3.5 hours. After landing on the island of Valaam (the largest in the archipelago), we immediately head to the camp (1.5 km from the pier). After setting up the camp, we make a fire on the shore and prepare dinner.

Day 2: Wake up and breakfast. Then we go on a sightseeing tour of the monastery and to the Nikolsky island skete, visit the economic zone, the lower, upper garden, and, of course, the heart of the Valaam monastery - the Transfiguration Cathedral. After the end of the walk, we will go to the camp, cook lunch and rest. In the evening, before dinner, we will walk to Zimnyakovsky Bay and Kazan Skete.

Day 3: We will have breakfast and go for a walk through the so-called distant hermitages of Valaam. First, we will go to the skete of All Saints, the main feature of which is that women are allowed into it only one day a year (but you can see it from the outside! :)) Then we will wade the river and reach the Konevsky skete, after which we will have a rest and lunch on the bank of Ladoga. After lunch we will climb the Mount of Olives, inspect the Gethsemane skete, see the chapel "Prayer for the Cup" and go down to the Resurrection skete, the temple of which was built in honor of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. All these sketes are often called the Little Jerusalem, since it is here that the main shrines of the capital of Israel are recreated, reflecting the main events of the last days of the life of Jesus Christ. Further, the path will lead us to the farm, where we can taste real, tasty, aromatic fresh milk, look into the cowsheds, and everyone can buy local products - kefir, collection of local herbs, etc. In the evening we return to the camp. Bonfire, dinner and free time.

Day 4: Today we will take a 17-kilometer hike to the farthest point of the island - Divnaya Bay and Oboronny Island, on which the coastal artillery of the Finnish army was located until 1944 - ordinary tourists simply do not reach these places. Now on the island you can see already rusted fortifications, gun positions, bunkers, barracks and two-tiered underground casemates, carved right in the rocks. We will explore the island-fortress, climb with flashlights into bunkers and casemates, and then have lunch on the shore of Divnaya Bay. Let's go back along the eastern coast of the island - along it there are also Finnish fortifications (pillboxes, pillboxes, etc.), along the way we will collect mushrooms and berries, and on one of the sandy beaches everyone can swim in the waters of open Ladoga. We will return to the camp through the eastern cape near Zimnyakovsky Bay, where we were already on the first day of our stay in the archipelago. Dinner in the evening and free time.

Day 5: After breakfast, everyone will have free time, you can once again walk along the quiet coves of Valaam, through the numerous shops to buy gifts and souvenirs. After lunch, we set up the camp and move to the pier, where we will sit in a meteor and say goodbye to this amazing place. Our journey along the water will take only 40 minutes, during which we will be able to enjoy the views of the largest lake in Europe and the famous Ladoga skerries - steep rocky shores. Then from the city of Sortavala by minibus we go to the Finnish border to the village of Ruskeala (about 40 minutes). This place is famous for the extraordinary beauty of the local nature (it was here that the film "The Dawns Here Are Quiet" was filmed), for numerous rivers and waterfalls, but especially for marble quarries, where mining stopped at the beginning of the 20th century. Since 1998, the quarries and the area around have received a protected status and are now called "Ruskeala Mountain Park" - we will visit it. After arrival, we will set up a camp on the banks of the Tohmajoki River, make a fire and cook dinner.

Tver - Medveditsa River - Tver

Trekking dates: new dates will be published soon

Trekking plan:

Day one: the participants independently drive to Tver on the "Lastochka" (departure from Moscow at 18.1, arrival in Tver at 20.7). Here the group is met by an instructor and our transfer, on which we will go to the banks of the Medveditsa River. Here we will have a cozy camp and a hot dinner. We will not stay up late, because tomorrow morning we will start rafting down the river.

Day two: after breakfast we set up the camp, undergo instructions, divide into crews and set off on the water. Today we have to walk about 20 km along the water surface and overcome an obstacle in the form of the ruins of an old hydroelectric power station. On the way we will make a break and cook a hot lunch, play kayak volleyball, and if we are lucky with the weather, we will have plenty of shopping. Towards evening we will stop at a parking lot in a pine forest. While dinner is being prepared, you can swim again, fish, walk around the camp in search of mushrooms and berries, or just relax. After dinner, of course, there are campfire gatherings and heart-to-heart communication.

Day three: breakfast, leisurely packing, loading kayaks and back on the road! We still have about 10 km to go along the river with no less beautiful banks than the day before. For 10 km you have to have time to breathe clean air, look at the pine forests and walk along the clean sandy beaches. Our rafting will end near the village of Medvedikha, from where we will go to Tver by a custom transfer, and then to Moscow on the Lastochka (departure at 18: 5). We return to Moscow at 20. 0.

- clothing for rafting - clothing for the camp according to the weather (hermetically sealed in a sealed bag or in 2 bags) - neoprene slippers or rubber slippers or soft sandals - sneakers for the camp and the road - a tourist backpack for personal belongings (in In this case, it is better to replace the backpack with a bag or a trunk without a hard back - it will be more convenient to stuff it into the kayak.
