What can you do for fishing with your own hands

Many fishing enthusiasts devote all their free time to fishing. At the same time, anglers in love with their occupation are engaged in the manufacture of fishing tackle, such as bait, tackle, etc.

DIY Silicone Baits

In the process of fishing, some silicone baits lose part of their bodies, and it is a pity to throw them away after that. If you collect several processed silicones, then you can make new working lures from them.

DIY mini clasp

Almost always, when fishing, it is necessary to quickly and efficiently change the bait or modify the rig by changing the leash or feeder. For these purposes, there is a design of a clasp, a rather small size. Making it at home will not be difficult.

Feeder for feeding fish from a boat

For those who are constantly fishing from a boat, it will be useful to have a simple but effective feeder. It will come in handy if you have to fish on a river where there is a current. To do this, you need the following elements:

  • a piece of plastic sewer pipe;
  • two fasteners;
  • lead;
  • electric drill;
  • rope, rivets;
  • loop and lock.

A piece of pipe is taken up to 30 cm long and plugs are installed on both sides. One of them is installed blindly, and the other in such a way that it can be easily removed. After that, holes are drilled over the entire surface. A rope is attached to the plug that opens. To prevent the plug from opening on its own, a lock or latch of any design is installed.

Many people would like to own a swimming facility, but, as you know, the cost of ready-made options is very high and not affordable for most buyers. If you think that making a good cabin boat out of plywood with your own hands is impossible without certain skills, then this is far from the case, and in this review we will tell you how you can implement such a project at home.

In the photo: if you are ready to spend time and effort, you can get a luxury boat that will cost dozens of times cheaper than the finished version

General information

One of the most common boat models made of such material as fiberglass is the WaveRunner-285 boat. It is considered a full-fledged planing vessel, which is quite suitable for sea trips or tourism. The ship, which is characterized by the fact that it has an increased freeboard, as well as a rather large width, is also convenient in that a comfortable saloon with an adjacent toilet and galley can be placed in its bow. In the stern of the boat, you can make a double cabin with your own hands, the location of which will be located strictly under the cockpit. The unit control section will be located above the engine compartment, and it will also be protected from wind and splashing water by sloping glass.

DIY anchor

The anchor is the main element of the float. After all, it helps to keep in one place for a long time, not allowing the current to carry the vessel away. In order to attach the anchor, it is necessary to drill a hole in the back of the boat by extending an iron chain, which will become the basis for the anchor.

Next, you need to attach the cargo itself. It should be a large piece of iron that can stop the boat. It will need to be attached to the chain by welding. Ten minutes - the anchor is ready. This is the easiest way to make a do-it-yourself boat anchor.

Power of the boat

When equipping a boat with your own hands, it is necessary to take into account which engine will be installed on it later. This particular model is designed to install either one or two motors. However, it is important to consider here that the total power for the normal functioning of the facility should be in the range from 250 to 500 liters. from. They should also have a direct reverse gear, which will allow a speed of 15-30 knots, which in km/h ranges from 28 to 56. In addition, the vessel may also have propulsion systems or additional outboard motors.

It is worth noting that building a boat with your own hands saves from 50 to 75% of the amount that would be spent if the unit was purchased at the shipyard, and not built independently. It is also worth noting that the above technology for the construction of a small vessel is not the last word in shipbuilding. This is only a proven practice, an established method that will allow you to design an acceptable fiberglass boat with your own hands.

With these DIY fishing tools, your winter fishing will become more entertaining, catchy and enjoyable.

And I want to note that it was not me and not today that they were invented. And a long time ago, back in the days of our grandfathers, in the not far away USSR.

So don't worry and don't even check, just go ahead and do it. as they have already been tried and tested by the experience of old fishermen for 30 years.

Top Soviet useful homemade life hacks for winter fishing with your own hands

Homemade and useful things for fishing can still be done today. Yes, the material is everywhere. All that remains is desire and patience.

Lifehack: Fishing tricky homemade product since the times of the USSR - depth gauge and feeding reel for the feeder

They still use such a device for fishing.

You need a winter fishing rod with a large reel, a weight or feeder for bait, a swivel and a line with a diameter of 0.35 mm. And also the little things that we will mark every half a meter - beads with stoppers will do.

We wind 20 meters of line on a reel. We attach a swivel to the end of the line, and then a weight for a depth gauge or a feeder to it.

And through each measured half meter we stop the beads.

The jet ski has become popular in recent years. In the warm season, it can be found practically on all reservoirs in various countries of the world. The jet ski has established itself as a reliable vehicle characterized by its simplicity of design. Such a device is not cheap, so more and more craftsmen appear who can make a homemade jet ski with their own hands.

Simple Jet Ski

A typical model includes a hull, frame, stops, motor and stringer. Many jet skis use a transom. Its fixation is carried out on the brackets. The filler is often used from foam. The decks of the models can be of different lengths. If we consider the upper stringer, then it is installed with a fairing. It should also be remembered that the bottom of the models is pasted over with a protective layer. The keel part of jet skis stands out with wide stops. A hole is provided for the steering shaft on the housing. In case of breakdowns, do-it-yourself watercraft repairs can be done using a small set of tools.

HOW IS THE ENGINE COOLED ON HYDROCYCLES?

Many fans of aquabikes are interested in the question - "How is the engine cooled on a jet ski?" In this article, we will deal with the brief device of the jet ski, and answer the question of interest, including determining the causes of engine overheating.

Jet skis: a little about the device

A jet ski or "aquabike" is intended for riding on the water surface. A small boat provides skiing for one or two or three people.

The jet engine (aquabike) is located under the body and has a sealed protection against moisture ingress. The cooling system is divided into two types, and it can be open (mainly for Sea-doo jet skis), or closed - carried out by taking water from the reservoir (Yamaha, Kawasaki jet skis, etc.).

The movement of the jet ski is carried out due to the high pressure of water passing through the converging nozzle of the jet. Acceleration occurs due to the nozzle itself, but the movement of the water is provided by an impeller located in the jet of the jet ski, and sucking the very water from under the vessel itself through the intake grate.

The throttle valve, adjustable by pushing the lever, allows the boat to accelerate by increasing the rpm of the engine itself.

When the aquabike is in operation, the shift lever is always in forward gear. Today, most of the waterbikes on the market also have a reverse gear.

Jet ski and steering

The jet of the jet ski rotates with the rotation of the rudder, allowing you to steer the boat to the left and right, which makes it maneuverable. An important detail is that you always need to push the throttle lever to go through a bend.

This work is a continuation of the first part of the catalog of samples of tourist inventory and equipment, which was created by tourists themselves and passed long-term operational tests and improvements, published in 1986.

The second part contains brief descriptions and technical characteristics of the best works of amateur designers, shown at exhibitions of technical creativity of tourists or at tourist gatherings and competitions.

Compared to the previous edition, the catalog has expanded the nomenclature of products, while the compilers found it necessary to indicate the names of the authors of the developments. Detailed information about the author, as well as additional information about the design features of the products, can be obtained from the All-Union Research Laboratory on Prism and Excursions at the address: 141420, Skhodnya, Moscow Region, st. Gorky, 7.

The structure of the tent was developed in 1977 (Fig. 1) and two samples were made. The tests were carried out for a number of years in mountain hikes of the III-IV category of complexity. One of the tents is still in operation. Tests have revealed both advantages and disadvantages. The first include increased comfort (compared to traditional designs of domestic counterparts), complete absence of condensation, better wind resistance and tightness, the ability to cook food without leaving the tent. The most significant drawback is the difficulty of installation in strong winds.

The tent was created with the expectation of affordable, non-scarce and relatively inexpensive materials. The main criteria were weight, strength, resistance to mechanical stress. In addition, the fabric should not significantly increase its mass when wet, not freeze up, and also have an aesthetic appearance. However, in the process of using in extreme conditions of high mountains, low lightfastness of nylon and especially of awning fabric (dicrilan and calendered nylon) was revealed. The color of the fabric is practically lost after one season, and the strength - after three. Therefore, although in a homemade version it has gained great popularity among mountain tourists, it is necessary to search for more optimal materials and the possibility of reducing the cost of the tent. For example, you can use a lightweight frame (due to the use of fiberglass rods) and more durable, but cheap materials.

Awning material - nylon fabric of the "Bologna" type (dicrilan), front and back apses - calendered nylon Material of the inner tent - parachute nylon Bottom of the tent - rubberized nylon or "fabric 500" (rubberized percale)

Racks - duralumin tubes 0 16X1 mm. To reduce weight, the C-pillar can be single. The ridge set can be made from tubes of a smaller diameter, for example, 14X1 mm, and so that they are retracted into the racks during transportation. Breakdown by length is arbitrary, but maximum interchangeability of elements is desirable.

Fig. 1. Mountain frame awning tent for four persons 1 - entrance, 2 - reinforcing braid, 3 - auxiliary entrance, 4 - guy wires, 5 - sleeping compartment, 6 - awning

The tent is designed for winter mountain hikes of high complexity. The tent has minimal dimensions, light weight due to the use of duralumin tubes and bologna fabric.

The design feature is a multifaceted "tent" with a central post, towering over the top of the tent (Fig. 2). The shape of the tent is fixed with guy wires passing through the central post, which creates additional convenience (pulling the guy wires without leaving the tent).

The shape of the dome is a polyhedron described by a hemisphere, elongated towards the vestibule, due to which, for a given area, a minimum surface area is achieved without compromising comfort. To provide better thermal insulation, an inner tent of a similar shape made of poplin is suspended from the cleveites inside.
