The production of boats "Amur" was launched in 1970 in a small circulation - 400 pieces. Manufacturing was carried out in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The purpose of the vessel is to be used on various reservoirs and rivers with fresh water. Operation is permitted at wave heights up to 1.2 m or at sea waves up to 4 points. Over time, the model has been redesigned and several modifications have appeared, including for the sea.

The boat is designed for tourism and walks along rivers, lakes and reservoirs with fresh water at a distance from the coast up to 5 km and a wave height of up to 0.75 m. at the stem.
The hull of the boat is made of D16AT duralumin, riveted-welded construction. The bottom and deck stringers are fastened by electric spot welding. Bottom skin thickness 2-2.5 mm; thickness of deck planking and side sheathing - 1.5 mm. The transverse set consists of 10 frames. By bulkheads, the hull of the boat is divided into three compartments: forepeak, cockpit and engine compartment. The forepeak, which serves as a luggage carrier, is accessed through a sealed hatch on the deck. The cockpit has two soft seats for the driver and passenger and a stern sofa. Seats and a sofa can be folded into two berths. On the sides of the cockpit there are small trunks and two gas tanks with a total capacity of 100 liters. The cockpit is closed by a folding removable awning, which in the stowed position fits behind the cockpit.

The forepeak of the models is of a sealed type; to open access to it, you will need to use a hatch on the deck, which has a tight fixation type. The cockpit in each model has 2 rows of seats with a durable structure and soft wrap.
The driver's seat is equipped with a steering wheel and special mechanisms that allow remote control of the engine. There is also a shield with various devices for monitoring the engine operation. Under the flap, the space is completely covered with a special pallet, on which you can put various small items of equipment.

By profession Boris Evgenievich - fluid dynamics; he is a candidate of technical sciences, a senior researcher at the Leningrad Mechanical Institute.
He built his first motorboat back in 1959 as a student. Its speed under the most powerful engine in those years - the 10-horsepower "Moscow" - seemed insufficient, then a racing-type mini-motor was born. The next development brought to life is the sailing dinghy. The development of sailing science began. Later the sail began to be present in many of Sinilshchikov's new projects. According to the designer, the sail should be installed on boats as well. Here it should serve mainly as an emergency engine and for environmentally friendly leisurely sailing, not just fuel economy.
According to the author's calculations, 75 thousand km are left behind the boats built by him. Behind sailing on almost all waterways of the European part of the country. After several trips along the Volga, he considers this river to be lost. He loves Lake Onega most of all. Likes to fish on Ladoga; once he managed to pull out a pike weighing 10.5 kg.
Boris Evgenievich does everything himself. His hands are used to holding not only a pencil and a ruler, but also any instrument. He is a member of the military-industrial complex "Neva". He enjoys great prestige among his teammates, never refuses to consult young sailors. A huge experience has been accumulated. It is no coincidence that all the 12 articles that he published in "KiYa" in different years, invariably aroused great interest among shipbuilders and amateur navigators. In co-authorship with Y. Mukhin he wrote the book "Automobile engine on a boat", which has become an indispensable tool for all boat builders. Boris Evgenievich's attitude to patenting his ideas is interesting. Legally, he fixes his developments only at work (as he says - "on duty"), but in life he believes that his ideas will come to people faster through the pages of "KiYa". Once he tried to issue an inventor's certificate for an original corner column he had made. Alas, to no avail. Since then, interest in patenting has disappeared.
When asked whether he would build a new large trimaran boat in the development of his latest ideas, the designer replied that it was unlikely that he would not have enough strength, but his eyes sparkled at the same time. Before giving Boris Evgenievich the floor to talk about these new ideas, let's go back 25 years.
Its first publication in "KiYa" falls on 1965: in the 5th, a description of the large (length 8 m), comfortable and seaworthy tourist boat "Snark", independently designed and built by him, is printed. Already in this project, a creative approach to business is clearly visible. The author is trying to solve a far from simple problem - to create an original "dual-mode" ship. One and the same boat should be capable of both making long transitions in displacement mode — at an economic speed of 12-14 km h, and moving in a mode close to planing at twice the speed.
In "Kiya" No. 10 Sinilshchikov with numbers in hand: told about the experience of fine-tuning the "Snark" and the first years of its voyages Two serious shortcomings of the boat were revealed. Fuel consumption in the transient mode turned out to be too high (at 20 km/h it is practically the same as at 30 km/h). Even with a slight overload (by 150-250 kg against the calculated 2250), the speed of the boat dropped from 30 to 18-19 km/h. The author of the project found the only possible way out: he used advanced transom plates, which changed the length of the "Snark" at design waterline and the nature of wave formation, which reduced power losses.
The problem of efficiency became the main one in the further work of Boris Evgenievich. It is worth re-reading the article in No. 86 (written jointly with Yu. Mukhin), which analyzes the distance traveled per day and the fuel consumption of several possible options for a large tourist vessel. The authors come to the unexpected conclusion that "high economic performance can be obtained on a catamaran with displacement contours (D = 2 ÷ 2.4 t; L = 8.5 m; VKORP = 0.6 m /", and complain that “Due to the complexity of the construction, we do not know such vessels.” This means that we need to make them known.
The “Cruise” launched in 1977 became the embodiment of the idea of a comfortable and economical motor-sailing catamaran (see “КиЯ” №93). There are a lot of companies offering boat rental services in Europe. Twice we took a boat in one of the most famous companies - Le Boat (). We used FPP Travel () services once. Of these two companies, we personally liked Le Boat better. Excellent and well-equipped boats, a good website, competent staff, clean bases, a wide range of additional services - nothing else is needed for an unforgettable trip. With early booking (about a year in advance), all companies provide discounts, which we have successfully used all three times. Sometimes there are significant discounts for “last second” rentals, but I do not recommend taking risks. All good boats for the summer are booked long in advance, because. this type of recreation is very popular in Europe, and closer to May-June it is almost impossible to find anything adequate in price/quality on sites already available.
WHAT IS THE BOAT
Boats are all very different, but it is no coincidence that they are called houseboat - in any case, there will be everything you need for life on board, and you can even live in luxury in expensive and large multi-berth boats. A normal toilet with a shower, a refrigerator, a gas stove (with an oven, and sometimes with an additional grill), an equipped kitchen with utensils and all appliances, bedding, a radio tape recorder, like in a car, etc. More details can be found in the description of the selected boat, but I will say that you can live in such a boat for a week or two without experiencing any particular inconveniences. When choosing, you need to take into account the number of berths for which the boat is designed. If the description indicates 4 + 2 or a similar formula, then this means the presence of 4 permanent beds and 2 additional beds. Extra places are places that transform from something else overnight. For example, from the dining table and the sofa corner next to it. Or just from the sofa. They are also usually comfortable to sleep on, but not everyone likes to disassemble and assemble their bed every day.
There may not be "normal" outlets on the boat. Only 12V sockets, like a cigarette lighter in a car. Therefore, it is necessary to take the adapter (s) or inverter with you, although all this can, of course, be rented at the base. Even if there are 220V sockets on the boat, it must be taken into account that they will work only when parked in ports and at the marinas when the boat is connected with the attached wire to a special electric column, i.e. when powered from an external network. In expensive boats, there are 220V sockets that work in motion from the built-in inverter, but, for example, they do not allow you to use a hairdryer anyway. Salvation is an external network. You will hardly need to refuel the boat during the trip. A tank of diesel fuel is usually enough for 2 weeks of travel without any problems. But the boat in ports or at equipped marinas will have to be refueled with water. A tank of water lasts about 2-3 days. If you do not wash dishes, wash your face and brush your teeth, then all four;))) A hose with an adapter for filling with water is included. In any case, upon arrival at the base, you will be instructed and told how and what works on the boat and what needs to be done on the way.

The boat "Tom 605 Classic" refers to water-jet vessels with a capacity of 7 people. It is made with a movable wheelhouse, hermetically closing over the cockpit and protecting from any bad weather. The cabin version is convenient for operation in the cold season, rainy seasons, and also the cabin protects from the scorching sun in summer.

In front of the boat "Tom 605 Classic" has a closed bow, for access to which a hatch is installed. A windshield separates the bow of the jet boat from the open cockpit. The construction uses high-strength aviation plexiglass. The basic configuration includes a wiper. The hard opening part of the wheelhouse is also equipped with sliding windows on the sides and rear. If there is no need for a wheelhouse, it can be easily removed and not taken with you on the water.
There is also an alternative model - "Tourist". The description of "Tom 605 Tourist" is somewhat different due to the use of a stationary closed wheelhouse, the control console is placed in the cockpit area (closer to the stern) and the installation of an outboard motor. Modification "Tom 605 Tourist" with an outboard motor is capable of developing high speed, but the boat loses some of its cross-country ability.
Thanks to the wheelhouse, boats can be stored without a canopy all year round, aluminum does not corrode from rain and is resistant to low temperatures. The boat won gold at the International Exhibition "Expo-Siberia" due to its driving performance, passenger comfort and adaptability to the conditions of cold regions.
In the classic model, the cockpit accommodates 6 people with a high level of comfort: two can sit on a soft sofa, and in front there are 2 double chairs with a twin back for 4 people. A table can be installed between the sofa and the seats, it folds towards the side and unfolds with the movement of one hand. Under the seats are lockers for storing equipment, inventory, equipment and a fuel tank. All seats can be easily transformed into a solid sleeping place for 3-4 people.
The description of the "Tourist" model is not much different, since the same steering is used, which is distinguished by high maneuverability and ease of use. Inside the cabin there are soft seats for 5-6 passengers, folding into a berth.
Always aluminum jet boats have a smaller cockpit area, and models with an outboard motor free up more usable space. The same rule applies here, so in the "Tourist" with the PM it was possible to complete a large cabin, a driver's seat and free areas on the cockpit. The driver's seat is equipped with a steering control system and instruments with sensors. The installation of a water jet propeller helps to increase the cross-country ability, but the travel speed with the PM is slightly higher.
An important advantage of the boat model is the ability to regulate the speed of the movement using the speed control knob with a friction clutch. In conditions of long trips, the boat allows you to select a suitable speed and fix it.
For displacement, it is optimal to install the UMZ 4218 or ZMZ 409 engine, they also allow you to go on planing. In the case of a jet propulsion unit, it makes sense to install the same motors or equip the boat with Mercruizer or Volvo Penta 4,3L engines.
