One of the methods of strategic planning is SWOT analysis, which consists in identifying the factors of the internal and external environment of the object under consideration. It is necessary to consider the strengths and weaknesses that characterize the internal environment of the object of analysis, as well as the opportunities and risks of strategic planning that characterize the external environment.

The internal environment is what the object is able to influence.

The external environment is something that can affect the object from outside and is not controlled by the object in any way.
